The Nest
“Charming little independent supermarket with a deli counter offering some warm meals and baked goods. Expect to see organic and free trade foods as well as some staples and a decent collection of wine and beers.”
The Whistle Stop
“So fast and so reasonably priced best place for when u need something quick and ur train is a minute away. Lady in there is always so friendly and welcoming and food is brill xx”
Maido To Go
“Really good quality sushi and really friendly and helpful staff. I got the deluxe platter for my two friends and I and it was more than enough food for the three of us. If I’m in the area again, I will be making another visit for a take away for sure.”
The Chelsea Corner
“This little restaurant has always welcomed us no matter the size of our orders! Whether we came for lunch, alone, or with friends and family or just for coffee, it was always worth it! The food is fantastic and staff is always friendly. The place has a community feel to it where diners are happy to engage in friendly conversations or swap football news. On this occasion we savoured a superb banoffee pie accompanied by an exquisite cappucino which made our day better. Until next time...”
The Tea Shack
“Great location with great gluten free cakes and iced coffee ☕️”
The Pizza Room - Hackney
“Lovely place. Gave me a Nutella pizza for my birthday for free, very sweet. If we lived closer we would be back all the time! Kati was great!”
The Captain’s Table - Fish & Chips
“Just had a large order of food for family staying over, everything cooked beautiful... especially the burgers! New season potatos or not always lovely! Staff wonderful and friendly never ring in advanced as I always love my little chat. Will always return and support them! Should have written this review sooner!”
Tandoor At The Chambers
“Went there last week for the first time and loved the food so much that I made another trip in the same week! Highly recommend the lamb chops and kale chaat - never tried anything like that before. It’s a cosy restaurant with friendly staff and quirky decor. Conveniently, there’s also parking very close by. I did find it pricey, but the quality and innovation behind the dishes makes up for it. I also like that with some dishes they ask how spicy you’d like it which is different from most Indian places I’ve been to. Will definitely be back again soon!”
the Orpington Café & Record Store
“I had such a wonderful time going to the Orpington! I feel lucky we are locals to a place like this. The menu is a sophisticated take on classics. Everything is homemade and fresh, with an attention to detail in each dish. Music was great. Beer menu, excellent. I had a salt beef sandwich and it was perfect. We both wanted to order the whole menu and are looking forward to coming back. Scott also seems to care about his team, and that matters. To anyone saying it's a bit pricey: You get what you pay for, and that's never been more true than here. High quality, locally sourced ingredients with well thought-out menus, and a warm and personable experience.”
The Corner Cafe
“Nice little cafe selling cakes, coffee, smoothes and sandwiches with nice modern new furniture.”
The Journey Cafe
“Super tasty food & coffee, at great prices and with friendly service. Highly recommended!”
The Black Horse
“My wife rang on Tuesday evening to find if they had any vegan options available for lunch the following day. She was told they didn't but the chef would sort something out for us. So we booked for 3 adults and one infant. We duly arrived Wednesday lunchtime and were presented with a hand written menu giving us the choice of 4 vegan starters and about 6 vegan lunches. Boy. Were we spoiled!!!! My wife and daughter ordered the Sage and onion vegetable cobbler. I had roasted butternut squash with walnuts, cranberries and pine nuts served with sauteed potatoes, onions and peppers. Our grandson had a starter of garlic chestnut mushrooms served on garlic ciabatta. The portions were more than big enough. The value was fantastic, less than £60.00 for 4 including drinks. Bearing in mind that we could have easily been told there were no options for us, the lengths they went to were incredible. We can only highly recommend this establishment. If you do want to visit and try their vegan options, just give them a day or so notice!”
The Grill House & Pizza Fulham
“Delicious kebabs! Both lamb and chicken. Good portion sizes, full of flavour and the quality is great. Staff always friendly and plenty of options to choose from the menu”
The Broadway Fish House
“This is the best Fish and Chips for miles around. Seriously top quality !!! Everything is cooked fresh. The batter is always perfect. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Why go elsewhere?”
The Balti House
“Best Indian cuisine in town and super lovely staff handle your food with care and professionalism. Highly recommended”
Caffe In
“Went in to have a coffee and ended up having delicious homemade apple and walnuts cake and blueberry cake. They were so good, I don't regret anything! Also, the portions are extremely generous.”
Welling Cafe
“Excellent experience. As soon as I arrived I asked if I could use the internet as I needed to work and take work calls and immediately the staff helped me get this with no problems and a friendly welcoming attitude. The breakfast/ food I ordered was top quality. Chips were all crispy, eggs were sunny side up and perfectly cooked, sausage and bacon was delicious and hash browns and beans superb. I felt really good after my experience here and was able to take my work calls and use internet with no network issues. The internet speed is fast and reliable. I shook hands with the staff after leaving and had a smile on my face for the remainder of the day. Excellent place highly recommend to have breakfast/ eat there.”
The Villiers Arms
“A decent beer selection, including 3 cask ales in good condition. The table service was friendly and efficient. We had a very enjoyable evening here.”
The Albion
“I've featured my local Big Smoke pub before but on the rare occasion I found The Albion mostly empty, and serving the exceptional A&H London Black from the official glassware, I figured it was time to feature a review. I believe this was the second pub Big Smoke opened, building on the success of The Antelope in Surbiton. It's been here as long as I can remember, and at one stage had a Gin Distillery out the back which I think is now just garden seating (opted not to pap this, but there's a huge garden there with beer festivals held in the summer). Indoors, it's familiar to those who know the chain. Wooden panelling, ample seating, vinyl soundtracked vibe, 10+ ales and ciders, a multitude of keg offerings too including 2 AF options in the form of Lucky Saint and their own AF beer which has gone down well over the past month. You get a mixture of students, weekend shoppers, families and real ale folk in here, it's a nice melting pot of booze enthusiasts and those looking for a pub not surrounded by Vape Shops, a step away from the town centre, outside of the rampant demolition you see taking over Kingston. It's sort of a home away from home, despite only being some 15-20 minutes down the road from me, a chain familiarity but still less polished than those brand new Big Smoke pubs you spot in greater London. With time to kill it can be a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of town, but with Rugby on and one of the few spacious family friendly pubs in the area it can get quite hectic. A nice problem to have for Big Smoke. Food again is similar to the other sites, a sort of BBQ meets pub grub style, with plenty of bits in-between to choose from. See the place pack out for weekends with roasts on, and various offers during the week. The pub dates back to 1845, little known about its history other than it was advertised as a sort of taproom with a view to watch the recreational sports on the green. Once Greene King, now Big Smoke, another one saved from mediocrity.”
The Sun
“Love this pub! Definitely best pub food around! Service is always excellent and love the atmosphere! Tried soup this time and it was the best soup I have had for over a long time! Recommend!”
Alchemy Café - The City
“Excellent customer service and even better coffee. My flat white was perfectly extracted with spectacular milk. I was initially hesitant about the espresso ice cream, but it is ver pleasant to round out the pallet on a hot day.”
The Pizza Room - Poplar
“One of the better pizzas I’ve had in London. They have got creative pizza bases as well to cater to kito, vegan, and gluten free diets. That’s fantastic!”
The Juice Smith
“To Die For ! Bought some lovely caked here today. They're strategically placed. But this place is BUSY! So they should be. Lovely to see healthy food on the menu.A feast for any vegan and potential vegan. No masks here thank God.I'll be a returning customer”
The Grumpy Mole - Cheam
“A very busy pub (needs booking ahead!) But one that had great food and fast friendly service from the staff. Had a vegetable soup to start and the Sunday chicken roast followed by chocolate brownie as per the photos.”
Megan's by the Green Restaurant (Parsons Green)
“Amazing atmosphere works beautiful deformation around and great customer service. I felt incredible being there and the vegan cake was glam. I enjoyed my vegan hot chocolate with coconut milk. I would give 10/10 exclusively to everyone in the cafe. I'm glad the coffee shop remained opened the late evening and next time I'm planning on trying am meal from the menu. Vegan and organic. If you're dining after 6 pm you'll be lucky enough to get some discounts. Beautiful location very close to Parsons Green tube (district line) and other bus stops. The restaurant is located in zone 2.”
The Red Lion
“Having just finished a 10 mile walk, i was famished. This place was a gem i found by accident. My friend and i asked if they had a table as the place was rammed. The very efficient lady in charge was able to squeeze us in if we promised to be done in an hour as the table was reserved. Food looked gorgeous but i just opted for a snack which was dirty fries with beef and cheese”
The Abercorn Arms
“Great meal last night for a party of 10. Lovely food, fast service, we ordered drinks etc from the bar, so there was no confusing bill to split. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Thank you”
The Rylston
“Ordered Sunday lunch for takeaway twice now and both times they have been absolutely fantastic. I am vegan and can be quite picky with nut roasts as they are often quite dry, but the one from the Rylston is perfect. Roast comes with all the trimmings, including fresh veg, roasties and most importantly Yorkshire puddings. Staff are all really friendly too! Would definitely recommend and will use the service again, thanks!”
The Toast Rack Bake House
“Came here for my birthday and had a fabulous time! A real hidden treasure with great food and great service. Madi in particular was so lovely. We will definitely be back again!”
