“A tiny little takeaway, I first ventured a couple of years back for a Lamb Biryani. To the uninitiated, this dish is like a combo, like a meal in one, much like a pizza or a chow mien. The dish is cooked with chicken (or in my case, lamb) and rice in-situ with herbs and spices. A complimentary pack of salad and minted Raita (yoghurt sauce) comes with it. I am used to some of the best biryanis around the world i.e. Kuwait, Delhi and Kolkata, and I will definitely say that Mr Ali Rehman,(the proprietor) can hold his own against the best I have ever tasted. Besides he has certificates all over the wall showing 5 star awards in cleanliness and hygiene from the local council plus independent food safety authorities. You just need to take a visit to see how meticulously he keeps the food covered in the refrigerated display cabinet! All I can say is that the world will be a poorer place for me without his Lamb Biryani. As for other dishes, if that is what he can do with my dish, I feel confident that he will shine equally well for all other items. Thanks Mr Rehman. Wish you all the best for total success! “we had a lovely dinner here, paid £2.20 parking using the PayByPhone app, show your receipt to staff and they will refund £2. the place is airy and clean, friendly and helpful staff, nice and modern feel, lots of outside seating, gammon skillet was nice. function room on site, you can play darts, 2 game machines, pool table. i won't hesitate bringing my guests here for a nice pub meal.”

“Comfortable hotel at a very reasonable price. Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet with (width-restricted) opening window. I have stayed here four times in last 3 months, and have another booking upcoming. Room is well appointed with an extremely comfortable bed and large work area with plenty of power points and USB plug sockets around the room. The room has tea/coffee making facilities, but does not supply decaffeinated coffee in the room (but it is available from reception free of charge). The shower works well, but is over the bath requiring a significant step up (although rooms with accessible facilities are possible). Hotel is in a quiet location on the edge of town. Breakfasts are good value, but dining area can be very busy and many children WILL be present (hotel is convenient for Harry Potter tour). There is currently no food or bar service in the evenings but there are pubs and restaurants within a reasonable walking distance. The staff are both friendly and accommodating. My only issues are that a non-slip mat is not provided for the bath, and decaffeinated coffee is not in the room, requiring a trip down to reception, but these are minor inconveniences.”

“I've been going here since my teenage years - their kebabs are one of the best I've ever had since. It's certainly not the poshest of places but the food is outstanding and it's great for a late night takeaway. The chilli and garlic sauces are truly delicious! My favourite is their chicken tikka roll :)”
