“I booked an afternoon tea for nine of us for two friends’ birthdays. I cannot express how helpful the staff were in arranging the booking and arranging for dietary requirements and on the day how friendly and helpful they all were. The afternoon tea was so lovely and the atmosphere at Marygreen Manor was warm and so Christmassy. Would definitely recommend coming here for any special occasion. “Only popped in for a drink and to feed the child. Honestly the quality of the children's dinner has definitely made this a place I'm coming back too. It's a propa old pub with some characters in there. Staff were so friendly (a special thanks to the lady that booked my daughter under 'princess') Really warm welcoming and friendly pub plus the food was excellent. Everyone there was having a good time. Thank you for this one off visit as I'll definitely be back with the family.”

“Got stranded at Shenfield yesterday due to storm Eunice…found my way to the Junction and ended up having a good old crack with the locals and another stranded traveller. Really friendly bunch, bar staff excellent, food tasty and the Guinness excellent too.”

“This hotel is immaculately clean,the service was outstanding everywhere , the room had nothing at all wrong with it ,the product range in the bathroom were lovely.Beautifully comfortable bed with great pillows , slept like a baby. We weren't going to have breakfast but OMG ,the choices were outstanding, even down to the sections of breads.We were so pleased that we decided to have breakfast here as this was not the usual mass produced , cheap hotel style fodder,occasioned to other Hotels.The freshly made healthy fruit drink was a lovely extra. The bacon was divine, along with everything else served . The little added extra touches like the fresh flowers etc made our stay adorable. Congratulations to a fantastic team and an extremely well run establishment.Thank you.”

“Great and convenient. Very happy the shop was redone and made safer for staff (too many not very good people in the area which resulted in few issues in the past). So very happy indeed to take my youngest daughter here to buy her a snack or her school pack lunch at any time of the day. Apart from this, it is a normal Tesco with a petrol station: even better for the area. Ample car park. Shop sell some organic veg and fruits and some gluten free stuff. This is great for my family. Finally a Costa machine self serve working well too. All bonus in my book.”

“Tried this Chinese after our regular was closed for the night. I think this will now become our regular Chinese. The food had loads of flavour, not greasy. Packaged nicely with clear lids to see the food, the sauce pots were in a tray so no risk of leaking in the delivery bag. The food was also nice and hot, and the chips were good and not rock hard like most are from chinese takeaways.”
