“When I bought my Yamaha R6 recently I wanted to change the oil and oil filter before riding to Berlin. Steve did a lovely job of it and the engine ran smoothly for my big adventure. On my return and after a frustrating time with other garages I asked Steve to replace my worn front tyre on my Yamaha R6. I was pleased with how quickly he sourced a suitable tyre (Michelin Pilot Road 5) and with the price he quoted for fitting it. Within 48 hours the tyre was on my bike with the correct pressure. He checked the pressure in my rear tyre as well. Bolts were fastened with the correct torque settings too. Nice work! I might add that Steve applied copper slip to my anti-screech pads eliminating an irritating squeak AND oiled my drive chain! Japs MC is a hidden gem in my opinion. I will be back next time my beloved R6 needs any work done on it. I recommend this place to anyone who rides Japanese motorcycles and appreciates quality workmanship.”

“Great venue Have been here three times now. Two wedding that were somehow different to each other but both absolutely lovely. The third was a 21st birthday party. Staff are excellent and food great. Venue has always been beautifully decorated for the event. Comfy spots to get away from the music if needed. Clean toilets. Stayed in rooms once. Nice rooms but did need upgrading when we stayed 6 years ago, but think this may have now been addressed as they have had a refit, however, cannot confirm this.”

“The Optimist Tavern is set back from the roadside in a leafy enclave that you could easily believe is in deep countryside if you didn't know it is actually on the outskirts of London. Inside, the pub is spacious but has many cosy nooks and comfortable corners. The staff are welcoming and helpful, especially Dave, and the menu offers a wide selection of hearty pub favourites, such as fish and chips, and steak and Guinness pie, as well as curry and vegetarian and vegan options. Dishes are well presented and tasty. We particularly enjoyed the chicken, bacon and avocado salad, and we've loved our many visits.”
