“This place was great! Authentic German restaurant with nice outlook over the river. Wait staff dressed accordingly and everyone was very welcoming. It’s very meat based (as would be expected) but they have some veggie/vegan options which my friends enjoyed. I had sausages, mash and sauerkraut which was yum! And of course all the beer and wine is German too. Recommend booking ahead as it gets busy - but we were luckily able to get a walk-in on a Saturday night. We were in the smoking area outside but no one was actually smoking. Tables are big and good for groups. Will be back!”

“Perhaps the best Sunday roast I had in 8y living in the UK. I’ve been there with friends and I ordered the Jacob’s ladder to share. The meat was absolutely phenomenal, incredibly tasty and perfectly cooked (12h slow cook). Each vegetable served with meat (roast potato, carrot and butternut squash purée, etc) was flavourful as well as the Yorkshire pudding. The pub is very nice and it’s located just 5 min away from the old market square in Kingston. Friendly staff, reasonable prices”

Half way through the meal a kindly horse was helping an old Mexican man eat his soup. Tirelessly attempting to scoop up the broth with his big powerful hooves. Wow.”

The jungle curry is supposedly spicy but it was not spicy at all, and if you’re Bengali, it tastes like a traditional Bengali chicken curry with less spice!”

“It’s been 18 months since my last massage, and I can honestly say I've just had the best Sports massage from George at Hampton Wick Health. George is extremely thorough, astute, and considered with his technique to the individual. I came with a list of ailments as a yoga teacher, and he was able to treat all and thoroughly. Elsewhere, I have experienced quite painful and intense Sports massages, but George applied just the right pressure and I really enjoyed the treatment which I'll be returning for more of. To add to this the clinic and rooms are very calm, clean, and pleasant, as are the team and overall experience. I would highly recommend.”

“This is a wonderful place to buy excellent wine, beer and spirits with plenty of advice available. Just explain what you like, or going to eat and your price range and you will not be disappointed. The bread is superb and the cheese range is broad and varied, also very bad news to anyone on a diet. To go with the cheese is an excellent selection of biscuits, and I find that they are constantly reviewing the stock so there is always something new to try along with the old favorites. The staff led by Charlotte are delightful and there are lots of great present ideas for wine enthusiasts. This is a real foodie hub in Kingston and the shop has the most wonderful welcoming feel.”

“After spending a hellish 3.5 hours in the local Moss Bros, I walked into this lovely little shop to have my sizes eyed-up perfectly on the first try by Rudi, a gentlemen who started selling suits in 1979 at the age of 16, has worked all over the world, clothed celebrities and royals, and spent many years working on Bond Street. He was fantastic, professional, accomodating, courteous, and consistently went the extra mile. I tried on a few Italian suits, which all seemed to be of excellent quality, and was offered a tailoring service too, of course. Frankly, I don't think I could ever shop somewhere like Moss Bros again after enjoying the service and quality offered here. Very highly recommended!”

“Had my brakes all round serviced and checked after being told by another garage that I would need 4 new discs and calipars plus pads, I was a little bit suspicious so recommended by a friend to see Gary underwood for a second opinion, glad I did, totally knows his stuff, had one calipar replaced and two discs at a fraction of the cost I was quoted elsewhere, really cannot recommend this garage highly enough.”
