Today's Cafe
“Was recommended this cafe by my local FB page, and I can say, this cafe did not disappoint. Breakfast was spot on. Eggs were perfect, proper mushrooms and bacon. Everything on the plate was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Very clean, great ambiance and friendly staff. Will definitely be back.”
Opan Cafe
“Friendly staff, amazing coffee and very good portuguese products”
The Nest
“Lovely place! Plenty of seating, the decor is very nice and cosey. The lady who owns it is just so lovely and welcoming and to top it off the food is delicious and reasonable priced and the special teas are so tasty. (Wishing tree is a nice touch too) Will definitely be going back”
Branching Out
“Branching Out recently did the flowers for my mother’s funeral. They were incredible and stood out with their quality and beauty. We were all so pleased with them - they exceeded our expectations. Thank you for helping make my mother’s send off so special.”
Bagatti's Italian
“Wow how amazing has this place been. I came here regularly a few years back and thankfully it's sustained its great food and hospitality. I had the risotto and it was absolutely lush! I'll definitely go again. Lovely Italian settings and great indoor vibes too.”
Basil & Grape
“Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant! Pizza was cooked in the right temperature and indeed delicious. They offer great selection of wine and the staff are very courteous and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.”
Tindli by Chef Karnavar
“Delicious, high quality Indian cuisine with a large variety of dishes and lovely service. We were so impressed that we ordered some dishes takeaway for the next day as well! 150% recommend!”
Little Beijing
“My best mate took me here for dinner. It was convenient to travel there as there's a bus stop right at the front. Amazing personality from Angie! Had a lovely conversation while waiting for our food. Had the spicy chicken fried rice and chili pepper prawns. They tasted absolutely scrumptious.. Definitely give them a try!”
Leca Coffee
“It was great the coffee was nice and the cake seems to be freshly baked when I came in”
The Oval Tavern
“Saw a live band (Junkyard Choir) here. The pub is lovely and staff were super helpful and attentive. We never waited long to get served even though it was busy.”
The Apple Tree
“Just had the nicest burger for a long time. Fantastic value. The pub has a lovely atmosphere for a Saturday evening, very warm and friendly. Staff very professional. Will definitely be returning.”
Majestic Wine Sanderstead
“Sorry but wasn't at Majestic Wine, merely nearby, so can't help on this occasion. I have, however, used this branch of Majestic quite a few times, when living in nearby Whyteleafe. They always carried a great variety of wines, at varying prices, and were always pleased to advise on choice per your budget. They never let me down on this front. Thanks.”
Yumn Brasserie
“Food was amazing, staff were really attentive (opened doors to toilets, took coats etc) and the interior is really smart. The team also gave us a complimentary dessert for a family member celebrating their birthday. Not the first time to Yumn and would definitely recommend. Ajay was brilliant.”
Tre Fratelli
“Great food portions, amazing customer services, very friendly. My mother and I come here for lunch often.”
Mr Fox
“Visited last night after wanting to try this place for ages and we were not disappointed. Lovey venue with very friendly staff, amazing cocktails and the food was outstanding too. Would highly recommend the seared duck breast.”
Tuk Tuk Thai Cuisine
“Edit 11 April: just ordered from Tuk Tuk for the third time and omg whomever was cooking tonight, kudos to them! Absolutely incredible and took me right back to Thailand! Loved the Tom yum rice and the chilli and basil pork stir fry with coconut rice!!! Holy WOW!!! 5 star and the best Thai takeaway in the area! Ordered drunken noodles, pad Thai and tom yum fried rice from here and I have to say, whilst it’s one of the best Thai’s in the area (Purley is seriously lacking), it could still be better. The pad Thai was lovely with lovely large prawns but the sauce tasted like it was from a jar rather than authentic tamarind. The drunken noodles were smokey and didn’t taste like authentic pad kee mow, but the Tom yum fried rice, in spite of not being fully authentic, was amazing! Really good flavours and good sized prawns. Overall, it tastes like someone not Thai, making Thai food. Apologies if this is incorrect, but just the way it came across in the cooking. Yes, I would definitely order from Tuk Tuk again as it was mega tasty, but it’s personally not authentic enough to satisfy my Thai craving.”
Amba's Kitchen
“We ordered catering from here last summer. The vegetable biriyani was very tasty and the chicken tikka also very good. Well packaged and the owner is friendly”
Canary Cafe & Restaurant
“Amazing food for excellent prices and a seemingly constant clientele confirms it's popularity”
Q Cafe
“Really good experience. The Q Cafe is clean and the Full English Breakfast was an all-day option which I opted for. The food was cooked well and you can tell the ingredients used were high quality. Very reasonably priced which would explain its popularity. Staff attentive, polite and ensured the cafe stayed clean. Well worth a visit.”
Sunrise Cafe
“If you want a quick working man's nosh this is a very good place to go. Unpretentious,,does it's job well. I recommend it.”
Dog & Bull
“Cool Spot. We almost had a hard time understanding the strong English accent of the bartenders. But we managed to work out the misunderstanding since we were the foreigners and everyone speaks credit card payment.”
Pawson's Arms
“A proper pub that serves a great pint, there's no breastfeeding mums drinking posh coffee in here! Friendly staff and customers make anyone welcome. Gets very very busy when Crystal Palace are home but that's a good sign!”
Man on the Moon
“Awesome pub, landlady's spot on staff are awesome.”
Spicy Affair
“I found the food here most enjoyable, much better than the sort of curries you can get in places where good flavour and texture are replaced by salt, sugar and hot spice all put into something more like a porridge. Also great in this small restaurant was that one of the main guys there was very pleasant and easy to talk to. Under new management and ownership, with now a great atmosphere in a wonderful location, a short distance from East Croydon Station, with lovely welcoming staff, a brilliant catering team preparing amazing Afro-Caribbean Food. A delicious delight...!!!”
Ayat Kitchen Lounge
“Went here with my nephew for dinner he had the seabass very nice. I had the lamb chops they were tender and succulent also the wings had a great taste definitely recommend.”
Uncle Lim's Kitchen
“Having lunch at Uncle Lim's Kitchen for the past few days. Thanks to the staff for the friendly service. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
