The White Horse
● Open“Amazing pub. Beautiful, quirky rooms, full of character and perfectly well sized. The proportions were spot on- I had a cosy double but I didn't need any more space and would book the same room if I was with my hubby (here on business just now). I sat in the bar for a few hours on a Sunday and did some work. The staff were attentive, kind and so considerate. I had food and drink and it was all amazing- the banoffee pizza is brilliant! I cannot recommend the pub more. I would absolutely stay here again and the people made it. Thank you so much to everyone in the team for such a lovely stay!”

Lee Valley Campsite, Sewardstone
● Closed“Excellent campsite with first rate facilities. Really friendly and welcoming receptionist greeted us on arrival and explained where everything was. Near to the Lea valley path which allows easy cycling into central London. Good transport links too but we haven't needed to use them. We used the river path to get to Stratford Olympic park, and Hampstead heath . The site offers shade too which was a real bonus during the heatwave. All facilities such as washrooms etc beautifully clean. Would highly recommend, and we will definitely be returning.”

Railton House (Paddington)
● Closed“Railton House is a peaceful location to stay. Isabel and Sana are two of my main stars because they helped me a lot with underground maps and locating locations that I was having difficulties with. The management is available to you at their desk or via phone 24 hours a day. I would enthusiastically recommend Railton to anyone. I'd almost certainly return.”

At the moment the site is having alterations being done for next year updating the swimming pool and shop and reception. Some people live on site permanently and again all very friendly. The site is very peaceful, just what we needed . Would definitely recommend and will return .”

Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Course
● Open“A traditional hotel, clean room, comfy bed, good facilities, friendly staff, decent breakfast. Great value if you can get a good price. All very competent and exactly as expected - and to be honest probably totally forgettable, I doubt I will remember staying here. It was convenient and I would definitely stay here again if in the area (as long as Google reminds me that I've been here!)”

Worplesdon Place Hotel
● Open“As a person with strong food allergies, I am cautious eating out. However I must shout out to Lorna and the chef at the Worplesdon, both of whom went over and above to make sure I was not only accommodated but had an excellent meal. Lorna made me feel welcome (and not a pain as is the case in other places) and I am very grateful. The food was hot, delicious and exceptional. THANK YOU”

Red Lion Hotel
● Open“Called in after long rail journey on Thursday afternoon. Had mushrooms and a glass of wine. As a solo female it can sometimes feel intimidating going into a pub but I was made to feel very welcome. Food and service were excellent.”

Quality Hotel Hampstead
● Open“We chose this for one night because of its location – near to buses and Finchley Road underground – and because we needed a car park, which is free (but small). Overall, it was very good, with only a few minor disadvantages. Our first floor bedroom and bathroom were both very clean, with good lighting and mirrors in both. There was some scuffing to doors etc but this is 3-star not 5! The bedroom was larger than many in London at this price and was quiet and comfortable with 2 chairs, adequate hanging, drawer and shelf space for a short stay. A kettle and hairdryer were provided and the TV had a full range of UK Freeview channels. There were plenty of free power points. The bathroom was a reasonable size, hot water was almost instant and unlimited, there was soap and shower gel, and tissues, and the bath sheets were large and absorbent and light. The overhead shower was good but the very small glass screen meant the floor was very wet after showering. There was also a hand held shower head. The toilet flush struggled to cope at times. The breakfast buffet offered both continental (basic cereals, breads, croissants, jams, meat, cheese, natural and fruit yogurt and tinned fruit) and cooked (various eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes etc). Staff ask if you want toast. Drinks came from a self-service machine but, disappointingly, the hotel could not provide slices of lemon for my tea despite having a bar, nor do they have decaffeinated ground coffee, only instant sachets. The Orange Juice tasted quite odd, possibly it was mixed or confused with pineapple. The WiFi seemed Ok but we didn’t use it much.”

Beckenham Park Hotel
● Open“This was my favourite place to stay on our holiday to the UK. So much so that I came back for the last two nights, in order to prepare for the long flight home. Friendly, happy staff who run a clean and homely place to stay. Walking distance to anything one could possibly need, with Beckenham being one of the more relaxed towns that I visited. I couldn't have asked for more, I hope that one day I'll return.”
-

A Clean & stylish room, with toiletries and an in room fridge. Great WiFi throughout. Huge tv. Good location 5 min walking distance from the nearest station. Huge windows, lots of light and air. There’s also a modern kitchen downstairs to use to cook meals and a communal outside terrace. Definitely would stay again!”

Best Western Manor Hotel and Suites
● Open“We stayed in room 101 it was really clean (100x cleaner than most fancy London hotels), the staff we encountered were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was cooked fresh for us & tasted great. It’s clearly an older hotel but has been well modernised in the areas that count. For a pleasant comfortable nights sleep I’d recommend.”
-
Blandford Hotel
● Open“Great little hotel. Rooms are small (but it is central London) but comfy and there's enough storage space for a weekend away. The bathroom was fine and the shower good and hot (always a bonus in a hotel). Breakfast was included, it was basic but had everything you'd want really-the usual cooked bits, cereal, yoghurt and a few pastries. A couple of minutes from Baker Street tube station (don't use the local NCP, we got robbed). Staff were really helpful and let us leave our bags after checking out. Would recommend.”
-
Woking Travel Centre
● Closed“Fantastic company to deal with, always willing to accommodate Had issues with booking an earlier return flight due to unforeseen circumstances at the last minute and the problems were resolved only after speaking to the proprietor. Am based in Yorkshire and would rather book flights from Woking rather than a local travel agent.”
