“To start with I don’t usually leave reviews unless I find it necessary. But I passed by today and noticed a new shop near where I live. I said: I’ll try this tonight. The experience started from second 1. Staff were so polite and friendly! what I thought it was a take away shop is actually a restaurant (you can Take Away too), decor is outstanding. Opened a month ago so everything looks new and shinny, on top of that they also have a patio that you can use once its refurbishment is finished. I decided to get take away but I will come soon and sit in the restaurant soon. My food was excellent, the lamb shawarma is to die for, I can’t wait to try other items of the menu. Already forgot the names of the staff I met but very lovely people. Will visit soon as I live in the neighbourhood. Also they open til late. Highly recommended”

“This is hands down the best Kurdish / Kebab place on Green Lanes. Don’t be fooled by the glitzy mega kebab restaurants down the Main Street. This is the only place worth visiting on Green Lanes. They make their own tandoori bread, and once seated you are greeted with pickles and lovely warm soup. The kebabs are expertly seasoned and served without fuss - but with tons of intense charcoal grilled flavour.”

“Consistently good service and food. Just visited Sumak again for early Sunday dinner and was pleased to see that the quality of food and level of service was consistently great. From the greeting as you enter the door to the thank you and good bye as you leave you cannot fault this team. The staff are all very attentive, professional and pleasant. “A dive into some Egyptian cuisine for lunch yesterday. The waitress was helpful to explain what Egyptian dishes they had although not all were listed on the menu. I ordered the Molokhia (green soup) - usually served with chicken & rice Koshary (mixing pasta, rice and brown lentils, topped with a zesty tomato sauce, garlic vinegar and garnished with chickpeas and crispy fried onions). Bamya (lamb & okra stew) They also had Kebda eskandarani but I didn’t have space on on this visit. All of them were fresh, the stew being especially flavoursome. She also made a really nice mango lassi. Will likely be back to try other stuff”

“What a lovely surprise! I was in that area and googled for a place to have Lebanese food and I come across Lebo! Their menu is creative, they present Lebanese food in a modernised way which is really cool! They have an extensive healthy menu with dish names like "Eat like Schwarzenegger" which I found very creative. Was impressed with the Falafel, Moutabal and Shawerma dishes. With good marketing this place can be a popular Franchise. Tip to the restaurant would be to add the ingredients and calories to the healthy dishes, and improve the Humus recipe to be par with their Moutabal. Their seating and facilities are good and maintained, music wise they had adult Rap music so keep that in mind in case you don't like that or taking kids with you, if you ask them I am sure they will play something more family friendly.”
