“This is our regular curry restaurant. We've been coming here for many years. It used to be called The Gurkha Kitchen but they changed the name, although the staff and menu remained the same. The food is well prepared, tasty and reasonably priced. I could just deduct one star as there are parts of the restaurant that could with a lick of paint, but as the food and friendly service are so good, I want to stick with a full star count. I can recommend it.”

“Excellent aromatic flavours that taste authentic. This is no cheap imitation - it’s the real deal. The food fresh and of a high grade. Even after I left, the mesmerising taste taste stayed in my mouth. I definitely will be buying from there again. The premises are very clean and attractive. Something that is always reassuring in the food trade. I’m very fussy where I eat and found the food to be easy on my sensitive stomach.”

“Vesuvio's did not disappoint us for our Valentines meal. Great portion sizes and excellent friendly service with a smile. I had the bruschetta to start which was so good, the balance of the garlic and dressing with the sharpness of the tomatoes was perfect. For mains I wanted the seafood risotto which wasn't on the special valentines menu but they were so accommodating and said they would give me it anyway and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and perfectly emulsified making it decadent and creamy also very generous with the seafood. For dessert I had Tiramisu, again proper nice and creamy. Lovely soft biscuits soaked in coffee that tasted so clean, cold and fresh. We will be coming back 100% Keep it up Vesuvio's you're doing such a good job at creating an amazing, relaxing atmosphere.”

“Love this local restaurant! The service is amazing. You’re always greeted with a warm, happy and helpful welcome. The food is delicious. Made fresh to order and arrives quickly. It’s so nice to be able to go and eat in again but the takeaway service they provided in lockdown was fabulous! I also love a takeaway coffee when working from home. Couldn’t ask for a better restaurant right at the end of my road!”

“The food here was excellent and the service was great too. The only (small) criticism would be that the lighting is too bright but that's just being pedantic. The pizza is cooked on the lightest homemade base and you can taste the quality of the ingredients they use right down to the delicious tomato sauce. I will definitely be coming back to try the pasts dishes and other delights.”

“One of my favourite places in London for Indian food. Discovered this gem of a place 5 years ago by accident and we keep going there almost every month, even though we have now moved 6-7 miles away. “Ordered crispy squid, Tom yum soup, chicken ginger spring onion, chicken Hong Kong style, and egg fried rice. Was delivered quickly. Received the small rice instead of the large but they are forgiven. Food was amazing. Leagues ahead of the last 3 Chinese takeaways we have tried in the locale. Chicken was flavoursome not the usual "tipped" chicken you get in takeaways {which is watery and voluminous but tasteless}. The chicken in each dish had taken on the flavour of the dish and not just boiled and added. Chilli pepper Squid was sublime. Still crispy on arrival thanks to the modification to the container to let the steam out. Soup was delicious. Hong Kong chicken was beautifully crispy. Egg fried rice was OK. Hoping its not a one off. Just blown away by this gem in my neighbourhood. Lucky Garden if you're reading...dont change anything. Top marks to the management through to the chefs.”
