Whenever I'm passing through the station, I'll pick up a bag - always well received by whoever I'm on the way to visit. If it survives the journey! Also available are a selection of ZA groceries, but the biltong is the real star here.”

“This Indian Restaurant is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Sunbury on Thames. We truly enjoyed our meal there this afternoon with family visiting from Brisbane, Australia. The waiters were professional as always. The food is simply the best. Always fresh, delicious and truly authentic. Every mouthful was simply divine. We will be back again for sure. Highly recommended their vegetarian thali. The plus point is, parking is ample and its located a short walk from the scenic river view.”

“Wonderful Korean restaurant, great quality ingredients, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere. We ordered BBQ set menu, a hot pot and fried chicken which was enough for us to share, it felt like the authentic experience - if you're a fan of Korean dramas on Netflix you won't be disappointed! A few doors away is a Korean convenience store where some Japanese products also available.”

“We had a small Wedding reception at Mala and we were completely blown away by the incredible food, the service and we need to give a special mention to the Owner who went completely above and beyond for us. She gave us some amazing ideas to make our special day even more special and managed the day so well, making sure our guests were happy and ensuring that everything was running smoothly. Our guests called us after to say how great the food was and it all really was! We had quite a few food tasting sessions but after the first one, we already knew we were on to something special! We cannot thank the team at Mala enough, you made our day and we'll be back over and over again!”

“I was here with the family for a buffet lunch. They do a 'all-you-can-eat' buffet on Sundays. You pay for the poppadoms and drinks separately although some starters like onion bhajis and samosas were included in the buffet. In all there was 18 items on offer. The food was exceptionally tasty and my daughter just couldn't get enough of the curry. The tandoori chicken was a hit with my wife as the empty plate was a testament to. The chicken jalfrezi with pilau rice I loved the most and I also sampled the biryani which was alright as well. My only criticism was that I wish there was more on offer but it's such good value that I'm sure we'll be back again. In fact, I'm looking forward to coming back. By the way, the staff were super friendly too. Always a bonus!”

“Had a couple of hours to kill in the local area and really fancied a proper Indian meal. 'Accidently' found this place not realising I had last been here 4 years ago and had a not particularly good experience. What a difference this time. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly member of staff. They made space for us even though busy All my favourite dishes were on the menu, including Mogo and chilli panier. The difference was like night and day The food was really good. There was so much lamb in the biryani that we could not finish it. Staff was just the right amount of attentive during the evening. So glad we stumbled back here and look forward to coming again.”

“This is a fabulous family run little restaurant. The food is great and reasonably priced and you will recognise many old favourites. Everything is made hot and fresh and the service is excellent. Plus, if you're tired and you can't afford the Uber ride home, the bus stop is just outside!”

“Navratna hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for a close family member. They were very generous in accommodating us on a Monday (when they are usually closed). We were given the entire restaurant and facilitated early entry allowing us to decorate and re-arrange the seating. Food was lovely as always and well presented despite the larger number of guests. The chef and staff were very attentive and polite throughout and served with humility. Navratna provided a memorable evening and we are very thankful for their hospitality. Highly recommended.”
