“Great prices! Knowledgable staff! I first went here for a bike pump after trying the bike shop next door and being quoted minimum £80 for a bike pump! Went in got a dual cylinder pump for crazy cheap price! Its a great shop, can park right outside, its on a bus route too! Been there since to get chisels, a couple drill bits and something else ive forgotten, all for such a great price its been wonderful! I do like screwfix but its also nice to get a few pieces for just a great price, that just do the job! Staff know their stuff, ive walked in explained in detail what i wanted and theyve immediately said yes or no and when its a yes ( most of the time ) where to find it. Some shops now like a wickes or b and q, if you ask for even a type of hinge they stare blankly at you, but this place is good :) Recommended!”

I was in East Croydon for highly distressing personal reasons (to appear as a witness in Family Court) when a wheel bearing went in my Subaru. The AA (who I had called) highly recommended Kinghams, then escorted me there. They thought they could it relatively easily and that I’d be able to travel on down to Cornwall to visit my son and grandchildren who I haven’t seen for a year. . Sadly, the more they looked at the car the more problems they found. I was kept informed (so efficiently by video film) and difficulties arose because of the well-publicised shortage of parts. They eventually fixed my problems by bastardising one of their new, for-sale cars leaving it unsaleable until September when the parts can be replaced by Subaru. This is almost unimaginable service. They were kind, courteous, informative and great in every way. They have eventually managed a top class job of getting my car safely back on the road. I am never-endingly grateful and when I win the Lottery will make an ex-gratia payment which can be used as wanted. Thank you again, Kinghams,”

Raj one of the staff took the time to find out what I needed and what my preferences were, and then he walked me through the different wines and promotions they had. They take great care in ensuring children are happy and comfortable in the water before teaching them excellent technique in each of the four main strokes. The classes are a good size, allowing for individualised instructions where required and as they progress the children gain stamina, speed and confidence. They also provide feedback and updates on children's progress, moving them up levels when they need to or identifying areas in which they could improve. A great swim school that we'd highly recommend.”

“Thumbs up from me for an impressive service, the guys at Hobbs are very knowledgeable and very helpful, had an MOT booked first thing Tuesday morning, checked car over Monday (nothing like leaving it to the last minute) and found an LED mirror indicator unit wasn't working, phoned Hobbs as there seemed to be variations of the product, but within minutes they had found the part, (genuine replacement , which was also around a third cheaper) ordered one and had in in the shop in a matter of hours, allowing me to collect it, fit it, and keep my MOT appointment.
