“Small but very well laid out and decorated. 8 of us turned up without booking for food and the service was A* .. all food arrived in a timely manner and was delish! Staff couldn't of been more attentive if they tried. 100% would come again, deffo recommend.”

“Very spacious and friendly pub. It’s in a beautiful location by the river, and has plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor. I haven’t eaten here (only had drinks) but the menu looks good. Staff were friendly and toilets were clean.”

“This really is a busy pub if you wish to dine. Especially popular with the locals. There is so much history here and being listed as a Grade 2 building. You need to make bookings to avoid being turned away from their doors. Food is good and service reasonable. Food 8/10, ambience 8.5/10, service 8/10, value for money 8/10. Quite a hidden gem!”

“Cool Spot. We almost had a hard time understanding the strong English accent of the bartenders. But we managed to work out the misunderstanding since we were the foreigners and everyone speaks credit card payment.”

“It’s the most accessible and inclusive pub in Bermondsey. It combines the atmosphere of a pub and good quality restaurant in one. There are few pubs in the area you can enjoy a drink in the warmth and actually be able to hear and have a good conversation with friends. It’s beautifully decorated and has a back garden with heaters. It has a friendly vibe - staff like to get to know customers needs and even if you just want to come a chill out with a book in peace you’re completely welcome. * Dog friendly * Chilled space with wifi to work or read * Lovely food - real pizza oven * Great atmosphere which encourages good customers * Zero tolerance for rowdy or aggressive customers * Good selections of drinks and wines As a female, I often enjoys a quiet drink with a book after work. In other pubs in the area I can find myself being harassed or males come, sit and wont leave me alone despite my requests. I’ve never had a problem here. The owner and staff are clear this is a space for everyone to feel comfortable and have a zero tolerance for rude, rowdy or aggressive customers.”

“Our server was a nice gentleman, unfortunately did not get his name. Went with family, for a reunion of sorts. Visiting from Canada, so I've never been here. Ordered the set menu. Tomato soup (it was alright, a tomato basil or a tomato bisque would have been better), the imam's bayild (the topping was amazing, not the biggest egg plant fan), and the cheese for dessert (chutney on the sweet side). Would certainly come back and try something new. Coffee a little on the tart/sour side.”

“Stopped in before Deep Purple at the start of the month. All staff were lovely, especially a young man by the name of James. Very chatty. After ordering my peroni, I wasn't able to find a seat, it was packed! Amazing sign for a pub. Staff were knowledge about the band - especially Meg, who was also going to see them!”

“New Years Eve afternoon. Party of six looking for somewhere suitable. Was greeted at One Kew Road by a lovely helpful lad, soon joined by Rachel. Rachel is a true gem. Her service was exceptional. We were so impressed how relaxed and capable she was. She gave us all an afternoon to remember. Compliments to the chef, food fantastic, good wines and beer selection. We shall all be back. “An amazing dining experience. Situated in a listed building with an elegant interior. The Lebanese menu has dishes to suit all tastes from vegan to meat lovers. The staff were professional and the prices were extremely reasonable for the high quality service we received. Highly recommendable.”
