I sent photos and ideas and, throughout the process, Bea was incredibly attentive and receptive and went to great lengths to ensure that the ring was exactly as I wanted! “I had the most wonderful experience with Shimell and Madden; Emma and Luke took on the challenge of creating a beautiful and unique bespoke engagement ring for my partner, using an heirloom piece of jewellery. From start to finish, the process was enjoyable and stress free. My initial email was answered so quickly, and I was able to go in for an appointment very soon after, with Emma fitting nicely around my working hours. From the initial consultation, I felt so involved in the design process, with no pressure to go one way or another. From the initial sketches drawn up at our consultation, Emma sent me some mock ups and was 100% transparent about prices. The images were so realistic that they really helped to bring what we'd spoken about to life. Emma listened to my suggestions and feedback, despite my wanting a mixture of two designs and seamlessly integrated them together, to create the final piece. Then all I had to do was choose the additional stones and wait for the magic to happen. I was advised of the wait period for the ring to be commissioned, and was thrilled to hear that it was ready bang on time. When I saw the ring, I was speechless- it was just as the plan had shown, and was such a unique and beautiful piece. When I finally popped the question, my fiancé was blown away by the uniqueness and touched that the ring had been made from a sentimental ring, in a way that was just for her. Everybody comments that it is unlike anything that they have every seen before, that it suits my fiancé completely, and they love the story of how it was made. I really can't recommend Shimell and Madden enough - their design, craftsmanship and professionalism made the most daunting question I have ever asked in my life so much easier. Resizing was a breeze, and their aftercare offer really fills me with so much confidence. I can't thank you guys enough!”

“A very unique, quirky, whimsical place to visit! situated near the Brunel Museum & Mayflower & Ship pubs. Very close to the Thames river. 2 minute walk from Rotherhithe overground station. Its a very old warehouse-like an Aladdins cave & many stage props everywhere & paintings, statues, costumes (made for recent films-Little Women etc) Even the loos are lovingly decorated & homely! People are very friendly & welcoming. A film showing area-with armchairs & sofas on a graduated floor. Stage & theatre area up stairs. They make films there too. Give a donation at the Film night & other events are on most evenings. Like a little oasis... :-):-):-) ★☆★☆★♥”
