The Kensington Cigar Shop
● Closed“I've been waiting for a decent cigar shop to open in West London for a decade. The Kensington Cigar shop is not just decent though. It is outstanding. The cigar selection is excellent. The humidors are high quality and work well. The staff are knowledgeable, have usually tried most cigars they sell, are helpful and friendly. The cigars themselves are always in excellent shape. Every visit is a pleasure. Thank you!”

Cigars at No. Ten
● Closed“My favourite spot in London on a rainy day to sit back in their cosy lounge and enjoy a very well looked after cigar, served in the best atmosphere and by the best staff who are also cigar masters. Claudio and Maurizio’s knowledge is beyond impressive and so is their service as well as the rest of their colleagues within the hotel.”

C.Gars St James's - Cigars & Whisky
● Closed“My absolute go-to spot for a cigar. Whenever I want to introduce friends to cigars this is the only place I will take them too. Dante and Sam are absolute superstars especially when it comes to newcomers. They have a lot of patience and are willing to share their expertise without being condescending or making rude remarks when 'newbies' ask questions (as I have found in other lounges). Their selection may not be as extensive as other places but it's made up by excellent service and very reasonable prices. As others have mentioned in their reviews, there isn't too much space so it's recommended you book in advance. However, the smaller space works especially well for socialising with other other people there and makes it feel like you're a guest in someone's house rather than a customer!”

The Old City Cigar Shop
● Closed53 High Street, The Precinct, Rochester ME1 1LN, United Kingdom“It's one of those things where you ask yourself as to how you never got to them sooner. Outstanding service, multitude of choice and a very knowledgeable sales person. Will definitely be my go to for my cigars and cognac in the area.”

Turmeaus Cigars & Whisky
● Closed“The premier tobacco shop for pipe smokers. A wonderful selection of loose tobacco, all well looked after, and for a very reasonable price. The shop is small and quaint. But don't mistake small meaning limited stock, far from it. The space available is maximised to form a smokers paradise with smoking paraphernalia in every direction. The shop has a walk in humidor for cigars which I didn't go in. However, I did witness a chap come in asking for some help choosing and was well looked after. He left a happy man (who wouldn't with a cigar in hand?!) Saving the best to last - the customer service. Truly brilliant. I asked for a recommendation and was walked through the wide range of tobaccos. The gentleman - apologies, I forgot to get his name - knew it all. Passionate about tobacco, knowledgeable and incredibly welcoming. I couldn't ask for anymore. I'll be back very soon!”

● Closed11 Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7LY, United Kingdom“I’m a regular here because the customer service is exceptional. Every time I go they do not fail to impress. The moment you walk in you are welcomed and throughout your stay everyone is so helpful. The cigar lounge is pretty swanky with comfortable chairs and heaters. There is also a fireplace. The beer is top quality from Estonia. A good range of cigar choices and the staff are knowledgeable if you want recommendations. They offer to cut and light the cigars which is a nice touch. Highly recommend.”

James J. Fox(Harrods)
● Closed“I wrote this review for the main site on St. James Street but included my visit to the Harrods store (see the last paragraph). I first visited the Fox store in Dublin on Grafton Street many years ago and have returned to it everytime I visit as they have the finest selection of Cuban cigars I've ever seen, but more importantly the most friendly and knowledgeable staff I've ever experienced at a cigar store, and I used to travel for a living and visited stores everywhere I went. The London stores I visited, so far everyday of my trip, meet everything I've come to expect from the Fox store in Dublin with the added bonus of the two stores I've visited having sampling rooms where you can actually light up your purchase. The St. James Street store is amazing. Three floors of cigar and pipe heaven. Main floor has any item you'd ever want to own for your cigar or pipe hobby including pipes, cutters, books tobacco, etc. Upstairs is a large very comfortable sampling room. Downstairs has the Freddie Fox museum which includes a huge selection of items when Churchill bought most of his cigars there as well as a chair which was his when he had his own small room while he enjoyed cigars there in private. They have the humidor that King Edward VIII gave them to hold when he quit smoking to return if he started again. It was on the King's desk when he abdicated the throne. Then there's the Harrod's store with its own sampling room. Loved that my wife could spend hours shopping there while I sampled a cigar. Can't believe how amazing it is to know you're in the world's largest and classiest department store having a cigar in the world's classiest and best cigar merchant. Best ventilation system as with five of us smoking cigars at the time I had no trace of smoke smell on me when I left.”
