“Live singer when we visited! (Friday), amazing food and great atmosphere”

“Very conveniently situated right in the middle of Hornchurch High Street. Very pleasant inside, very welcoming and the music system is not too intrusive. Nice. Would recommend the steak & ale pie with either chips or side salad. Very pleasant and helpful staff. I would say that Hornchurch town is blessed to have this traditional pub right on its doorstep and right next to Sainsburys. ROD UK.”

“I booked Shelley's for Fathers Day and was really pleased I did! I loved the new décor, especially the 'flower wall' and the beautiful mirrored pictures. The food was delicious and considering Shelley (the owner) was one man down (one of the chefs) on a busy day the service was impeccable. I ordered the chicken wings starters and lamb shank for main. All the food was piping hot and the lamb shank was so tender, it was falling off the bone. The side dishes was fairly generous! No request was too big for the waitress staff either. The restaurant was playing some fab tunes in the background, not too low and not too loud and there was plenty of room between tables, no over crowding and it was nice to walk outside if you needed some fresh air or a cigarette. I cannot wait to go back and try the pork belly and have a dessert this time (if I am not too full!) Thanks again for making Fathers day a hit for my dad and my boyfriend. Laura”

“We haven't been there for a while because of travelling, but the food was excellent as usual. The choices on the menu were awesome, with so much to choose from. The service was also of a very high standard as always. We highly recommend Umbertos for quality food and top service.”

“We were here just for refreshments but if I knew of this place in advance, we definitely would have had a munch here but from what we got, they were nice, can't go too wrong, so nothing bad to say The place it self was nice but the views you get from here is its USP for sure, especially on a nice day, weather wise. Getting here via public transport, Elm Park (District line/Hammersmith & City) would seem to be your best bet. Suttons Avenue (Stop S) via 165, 365 and 372 for buses. If around here again, we'll grab a bite next time.”

“A most enjoyable hotel at a reasonable cost. Comfy room and bed and with all necessary facilities including a generous shower. Whisper quiet and adequate off street parking. Very obliging staff. Will certainly stay there again.”

“What's not to love - excellent food at a great price!! I've eaten in and taken away at frencho's and have been thoroughly impressed both times. There's a noticeable difference when food is made with care, and the service is also top notch. Will definitely be recommending this place and suspect it will become a regular destination! “Best Chinese food in the area, good prices, great portions, the menu has a wide range of different food to choose from including Vietnamese and Thai food and it always tastes great - especially the salt and chilli king prawns. The takeaway food is also of a high standard. Staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome and it feels more like a family kitchen that serves home cooking than a cafe or restaurant which i think is really nice.”

“I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had the best pasta dish I have ever eaten at Tarantinos this evening. Absolutely amazing flavours and big portions that didn’t lack quality - very fairly priced too. I highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to return to try more dishes on the menu! “Friendly pub with live performances. Staff are friendly and drinks reasonably priced. Parking can be a pain, but plenty of side streets newrby (as long as you pay attention to parking restrictions)”

“Went here for the first time 3 weeks ago and I've been there for the last three Saturdays. I like it. Had really good food and really good service. I've given it 5 Stars because I think it's worth more than 4. Reasonable prices and the fact that you can take your own drink makes it a cheaper night. Definitely worth a try.”

“Just enjoyed a lovely lunch at Onyx. Fabulous food and excellent service. Highly recommend the scallop starter and the pork cheek pasta and mussels, they also have delicious side dishes particularly the mushrooms, zucchini and spinach. Great choice of food and drink and our waiter whose name I didn’t catch but think he said K or Kai couldn’t do enough for us. Friendly, courteous and polite, I have nothing negative to say. Thank you, we had a great time.”
