“This place was great! Authentic German restaurant with nice outlook over the river. Wait staff dressed accordingly and everyone was very welcoming. It’s very meat based (as would be expected) but they have some veggie/vegan options which my friends enjoyed. I had sausages, mash and sauerkraut which was yum! And of course all the beer and wine is German too. Recommend booking ahead as it gets busy - but we were luckily able to get a walk-in on a Saturday night. We were in the smoking area outside but no one was actually smoking. Tables are big and good for groups. Will be back!”

“Thai on Thames is such a hidden gem. The food is delicious and the staff are so lovely. Our favourites are the Pad Thai, massaman curry, fried cod in curry sauce and the calamari! Definitely try this place if you are in the area”

“Just spent a lovely evening at the Black Horse for the first time. Took my family for a Sunday Roast and it was exceptional. Really great food and atmosphere, plus service with a big smile from the lad behind the bar Jamie. All in all a great way to end the weekend.”

“Came here on a Saturday evening, it was super busy but they had us sat down speedily. The service was attentive, fast, and friendly. I would 100% recommend the calamari, up there with the best I’ve had! The jungle curry is supposedly spicy but it was not spicy at all, and if you’re Bengali, it tastes like a traditional Bengali chicken curry with less spice!”

“I've featured my local Big Smoke pub before but on the rare occasion I found The Albion mostly empty, and serving the exceptional A&H London Black from the official glassware, I figured it was time to feature a review. I believe this was the second pub Big Smoke opened, building on the success of The Antelope in Surbiton. It's been here as long as I can remember, and at one stage had a Gin Distillery out the back which I think is now just garden seating (opted not to pap this, but there's a huge garden there with beer festivals held in the summer). Indoors, it's familiar to those who know the chain. Wooden panelling, ample seating, vinyl soundtracked vibe, 10+ ales and ciders, a multitude of keg offerings too including 2 AF options in the form of Lucky Saint and their own AF beer which has gone down well over the past month. You get a mixture of students, weekend shoppers, families and real ale folk in here, it's a nice melting pot of booze enthusiasts and those looking for a pub not surrounded by Vape Shops, a step away from the town centre, outside of the rampant demolition you see taking over Kingston. It's sort of a home away from home, despite only being some 15-20 minutes down the road from me, a chain familiarity but still less polished than those brand new Big Smoke pubs you spot in greater London. With time to kill it can be a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of town, but with Rugby on and one of the few spacious family friendly pubs in the area it can get quite hectic. A nice problem to have for Big Smoke. Food again is similar to the other sites, a sort of BBQ meets pub grub style, with plenty of bits in-between to choose from. See the place pack out for weekends with roasts on, and various offers during the week. The pub dates back to 1845, little known about its history other than it was advertised as a sort of taproom with a view to watch the recreational sports on the green. Once Greene King, now Big Smoke, another one saved from mediocrity.”

“Decent Vietnamese restaurant! Salt and pepper shrimp was yum, and vermicelli was spot on. Beef pho had more than enough meat with well balanced soup. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Our server was super sweet as well.”

“I don’t know even know where to start, this place makes the best takeaway food, the chicken tikka wraps are just heavenly, amazing with fresh Nan. The chicken is just so fresh and juicy. “A nice new find in Kingston, very spacious and the garden at the back is a nice touch! We were welcomed by the owner who was friendly and welcoming. Last week I had a takeaway cappuccino, and this week I decided to sit in and try the chai latte which I devoured alongside a vegan croissant! My friend had the carrot cake and she said it was nice. I normally go to pret, but now I’ll probably go here because the coffee is much nicer (& organic!!) and it’s peaceful!! They have paninis too, might try next time I’m in town.”

“Best thin crust pizzas in town. Fresh and flavorful. Very light in the tummy. Wonderful service. But it might get busy on weekends, so you might have to wait for nearly 10-15 minutes to place an order. But the waiters there do a great job and are friendly.”

“There curry’s are delicious. Has a very homely flavour to them which is very close to authentic Bangali/Indian curry. Had their lamb madras which was lovely, could be hotter but nonetheless was yummy. My favourite is their Dhaal dish! Absolutely scrumptious and has such a silky taste! The best Iv tasted in a very long time! Light in taste just the way it should be. I highly recommend! And food arrived piping hot!”

“3 Restaurant has a great atmosphere and great customer service. I order their pizza and it was lovely, since then I returned to have coffee and cakes as well as lunch, and far all products very fresh and well prepared. The staff are always very friendly and keen to exceed my expectations. Family friendly and good choice for lunch.”

“Delicious anchovy, caper pizza served at comfy sofa seat in cinema accompanied by cool Cornish cider- what a treat! Interesting eating in the dark so employ taste over visual. Therefore no criticism as per last review of whether the topping reached the edge etc. it just tasted great! Agree thin base, which suits me as not a fan of thick heavy dough - topping is best bit! “I have ordered Veg Chilli Freak 5 times and every time it has been wonderful! The price is lesser than Domino's. I usually get a takeaway on my ebike which ensures hot pizza for me. A tasty medium sized pizza for £8.99 (takeaway only) is a great deal. They prepare the pizza in just 10-12 minutes and are very polite.”

“I was so scared after I'd searched up the restaurant on Google, having ordered from Uber Eats. Since the Google reviews were awful, I was expecting that things would be missing, or the food would be horrible. That was not the case AT ALL! The delivery was very quick, and took around 25-30 mins at most. The food was complete. They added utensils. All the viands were filled with meat, and everything arrived still hot. The food was very tasty, and we particularly loved the Sweet and Sour Chicken. We also had some Beef with Mushrooms, which was so juicy and soft. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.”
