Great spot in Loughton

“We been to team Xmas dinner and teams hospitality is 5 star .... They have arranged tables before we come and every item servered is fresh, hot and testaty. It is not possible to appricate whole group, but all our group of 23 members enjoyed the food and hospitality. We strongly recomand to our friends.”

“Run, do not walk here... unless it's up the hill then take the walk at a brisk pace. They have recently redecorated but that's not the only reason why. They are now serving Chuck & Brisket, a small menu filled with the absolute best burgers I have tasted. Forget Dead Hippies from Meat Liquor, or Shake Shack. The cheeseburgers here are juicy, mouth-watering and the most delicious brioche meat sandwiches I'vehad in a very long time. The patties taste incredible and are so moist. I couldn't fault it and I was a little sad when it was over. Their skin-on fries transported me to my grandmother's kitchen, for me, a comfort food. I would absolutely come back here, and implore any newcomers and regulars to try their delightful menu, otherwise you would be doing yourself a disservice. You will not regret it.”

“My first appointment was yesterday for a long overdue haircut, and since I couldn't travel to my regular, decided to visit Adam James. James is obviously very passionate about his craft and it shows in the way he handles himself towards his clients, he takes an active role in making sure whoever sits in the chair is comfortable and will offer his opinion of what will and will most likely not work for the look you are going for. It was refreshing to see the personal attention James gives to everyone that comes in, especially in an industry that has become over saturated in recent years with haircutters becoming more corporate-orientated and wanting to get as many people in and out of the chair as possible. I will definitely be returning for my next, most likely, long overdue haircut.”

“The best place for toasted sandwiches with dietary requirements! They offered a meal deal with a drink which in my case was a Peach nectar and everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend to anyone and would go back again! P.S. The added bonus is the owner of the cafe produces her own aromatic coffee beans which are making the best creamy espresso I've seen in this country!”

“Organic corner shop / supermarket / coffee shop. Very friendly staff and quite knowledgeable of eco-friendly affairs. We just stopped for coffee and a pastry, sat outside in the sun. A very nice experience all round. For what it's worth, they also have a great selection of single malt whisky bottles.”

“Took me a while to try this place because I'm usually a believer of Jack of all trades, master of none. But this place is really good at it all. Fried chicken on point. Pizzas better than dominoes. Indian food fresh, hot and plentiful. Deliver fast enough, both times quicker than time given. Can pay cash, card or PayPal with no fees and free delivery. Are fair and have given me more chicken or more wings because they said they were quite small which is awesome. It's my new go to takeaway. Keep it up!”

It's a great way to meet other mums, and other children to connect and play. It's clean, fun, and the staff are so friendly I will really miss them as I'm moving to another area. “First visit and wasn't disappointed. Nice place to have a cuppa and something to eat in a beautiful forest setting. Went with a group of motorcyclists from Norfolk and really enjoyed looking at the variety of bikes that were there. Obviously a popular meeting place. Tea and bacon roll were good and the service friendly.”

“The Carpenters Arms is a great pub that dates back to the old style beer houses. There's no other pub in Loughton that possesses that kind of style. It has more than ample outdoor seating for the present times during government regulations but to be inside the Carpenters Arms is something to look forward to. It has such a great character inside that most pubs do not possess. Well worth a visit.”
