Old Tom's Bar Bistro
“Met a friend for lunch and a catch up. The food was very good. We were looked after by Hannah who was excellent - attentive but not intrusive. Will return soon.”
Taproom - Upminster
“Pleasant micropub with a good selection of ales and larger from local breweries. Staff are friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit if you're in the area”
The Magdala
“Wonderful food - menu is small but lovely, filled with British food with a modern twist. Excellent wine list as well, with good selection and honest prices. Absolutely adored the friendly staff and nice decor. I look forward to go again to try more plates once the weather warms up again.”
The Dog & Duck
“Lovely pub, with friendly staff and patrons, also does a different selection of top class food every Saturday”
The Prince
“Lovely little local tucked away next to a small grassy park. Food, although limited with a small menu, was amazing. Shockingly so as I didn’t know what to expect but the pate was clearly home made (or they have a supplier that does make it homemade?!) and tasty burger along with halloumi fries that were delicious.”
The Beehive Inn
“Shame you have the half pint Paul that is waste of space that orders a pint and then half pints, scum of the earth that uses a front of his daughter!!!!”
Eel Pie Pub & Restaurant, Twickenham
“Went to this pub on a rugby day it was very busy, but it had great atmosphere. The bar staff were very quick and efficient and used to deal with all this well. We stayed in the little court yard garden at the back as we had someone who likes to vape. The garden can be accessed directly via a side alley very useful for disabled customers. A good pub, busy but lots of fun.”
The Wheatsheaf
“Lovely small pub, with exemplary bar stuff. Full of locals who knew each other and had tabs open... but the atmosphere was really friendly and welcoming they were a friendly bunch. Beer was good they had local "Shere Drop" which was lovely and well kept. It was not a cluttered pub with plenty of space between furniture and a beer garden. It was a football night when we visited but the fans were friendly and not too loud.”
The Gunners
“Best pint of Guinness I’ve had for a while. Awful singer on stage but otherwise great.”
Cart & Horses (Birthplace of Iron Maiden)
“A great pub, great for live bands downstairs, good selection of drinks, good jukebox, and a bit of Iron Maiden history. A stone's throw from the nearest railway station (Maryland, or it's only a 10 minute walk to Stratford). What's not to like?”
The Star
“Had the wake for my dad here. Staff were very helpful. Food spread was perfect and delicious, not your normal fare. Beer selection was good and not your normal brands.”
Rhythm & Brews.
“Such a nice vibe in this cafe and great music! I really loved that you can pick your own tune to play from their collection while you enjoy your coffee :)”
The Three Crowns
“The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The kitchen was closed but the chef overheard that we were 'starving' and she kindly offered to prepare whatever we wanted. The food was great! They have lovely outdoor seating which is well spaced out to maintain social distancing.”
Coopers Arms
“Food was amazing and great service! The manager Orestis was especially welcoming and accommodating !! Would definitely come again - best pint of neck oil in the area - Very happy customer ☺️☺️☺️ And they even gave us a free lolly because of the Halloween season :0”
Off The Cuff - Live Music
“Very nice club and pub and bar. Cordial staff and good crowd. Closing at 3am and mostly having concert in the weekends.”
The Old Queens Head Pub
“It was an awesome lunch experience! Staffs are incredibly nice and friendly. We ordered 3 set of Sunday roast! Very tasty! Also the dessert puddings was so delicious!”
Stage Door
“All 21 of us met up here before attending an 80s Disco in The Orchard Theatre. The bar staff were friendly, polite and courteous. An ideal meeting place for pre show or function drinks. Very good facilities and bar area.”
Hootananny Brixton
“Went there for David Roddigan, an excellent night although it was too crammed for my liking. As a music venue you can't go wrong, drinks are reasonably priced and the crowd is varied from legal drinking age to mature drinkers like myself. Will definitely be going back again.”
Bridge House
“Lovely pub with a great vibe. It was busy but the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Ordering was intuitive and didn't feel like a big fuss, which was nice because it allowed us to enjoy our chat and drinks. Also very accommodating of our dog, bought her a bowl of water and refilled it. Encouraging of dogs, which was lovely for our dog. The food was incredible. Undeniably, there was a wait but it was well worth the wait and money paid when the food arrived. Staff were mega patient about the bill. Overall, an easy and intuitive experience to order. Staff were perfect, food matched the standard. Had a wonderful time. Although the menu is on the pricier side, all pubs are now. With the loss of free house pubs, these prices are to be expected. AND, this is one of few modern pubs that I would say the money and time spent was completely reciprocated with a wonderful experience.”
O'Neill's Kingston Upon Thames
“You sort of know what you're going to get with an O'Neill's, which is a good thing. I was very impressed here, the security was efficient and friendly. Although it was busy, there was a good atmosphere and the service was very quick. The fight was being shown on various screens around the pub, and although that's not my thing, the rest of the atmosphere was good. One of the better branches in the chain.”
Spouter's Corner
“Super experience. was here with a friend on a what we later realized "bad" day (was football day so very busy) and the bartenders still managed to fulfill orders quickly. Prices were very good and the menu filled my hearts content. All in all a good Pub to go to will definitely do so if I'm in London again.”
