“First time ordering, really great service, all no contact (which is great right now), and the food was ready and still hot when we arrived. Food was pretty good, some things could’ve been a little better, my SO enjoyed the plain chow mein, and the crispy chilli beef was great, but there could’ve been a few more veg in the chow mein and the sauce for the beef was a little vinegary, but it was still a great meal and the banana fritters are delicious. Definitely making this our local and will be ordering again”

“New to the area and took the plunge here in trying to find our new regular Chinese takeaway. I'm super picky about my Chinese food, can't bear the sticky, sweet, gloopy stuff offered by most generic Chinese takeaways in the UK. None of that here I'm pleased to say! Great vegetarian choices on the menu, we ordered veggie spring rolls, salt and chilli tofu, tofu with black bean sauce and vegetable curry, with rice. All delicious, no food colouring to be seen, vegetables fresh and crunchy, sauces tasty without excessive use of oil/cornstarch/flour thickeners. And delivery time was very good. I look forward to eating here again!”

“New owners who are very friendly. Large garden with children's play area. Pool and darts to keep you entertained. Two TVs for watching all sports. New quiz on Thursday nights and karaoke every other Friday. Worth a visit!”

“The exceptionally handsome manager (think his name was Josh) that served me was an absolute dream. We ordered too much food and he kindly got takeaway boxes and packaged everything up for us. Even gave directions and recommendations for things to do in the evening! Wish I could have taken him home instead of the food”

“Russian or Polish Cousine and well done for Russian Speaking recent party. All tastes good. Especially tasty was a big cake, tastes like a homemade , which I loved. The facility is spacious, there is a garden outside, and disco in the evening. We had a great time. Staff is wonderful and helpful.”

“Had a lovely sunday lunch . 2 of us shared the half rotisserie chicken, and an extra cauliflower cheese..more than enough for two greedy people. Beautifully herbed and seasoned chicken with very nice veg, the gravy was a triumph. Cauliflower cheese was very flavoursome with lovely toasty bits round the edge of the dish, we couldn't stop picking at them. Very good food and a very good price”

“30 years ago on 16th October 1992, me and my husband had our wedding reception here. We had a great time. Today 30 years later, to the day, we chose to celebrate our anniversary here. I have to say I am so glad we did. I booked the table on line, (how technology has come on in all that time!) We arrived and were greeted by a young lady who just beamed a huge smile. She found our table for us and I was touched by the reserved label with my name and anniversary written on it. Another young lady (i think the manager) came to our table, again with a lovely beaming smile, and a candle, which she explained she had wanted to place on our table before we arrived. Another really sweet touch. She explained that there was no longer table service but she wanted to do table service for us. We felt really pampered. What a treat. We were looked after from start to finish, smiles all the time.. checking to make sure all was well. The food was lovely, the girls were wonderful, going above and beyond to make sure our anniversary was celebrated in style. We were most touched by being invited to have a look upstairs where we had our reception all those years ago! It was quite surreal, and I felt quite emotional. We would just like to say a huge thank you for such a wonderful, friendly, welcoming visit. 10/10 From Sharmayne and Les”

“Very conveniently situated right in the middle of Hornchurch High Street. Very pleasant inside, very welcoming and the music system is not too intrusive. Nice. Would recommend the steak & ale pie with either chips or side salad. Very pleasant and helpful staff. I would say that Hornchurch town is blessed to have this traditional pub right on its doorstep and right next to Sainsburys. ROD UK.”
