“I found the food here most enjoyable, much better than the sort of curries you can get in places where good flavour and texture are replaced by salt, sugar and hot spice all put into something more like a porridge. Also great in this small restaurant was that one of the main guys there was very pleasant and easy to talk to. Under new management and ownership, with now a great atmosphere in a wonderful location, a short distance from East Croydon Station, with lovely welcoming staff, a brilliant catering team preparing amazing Afro-Caribbean Food. A delicious delight...!!!”

“I moved to Waddon in the October of 2021. Being from the West Midlands, I loved going to the cafe with my dad when I was younger and always said that the local cafe in Birmingham would never be topped. That is until I discovered the Waddon Café. 5 stars isn’t enough for the quality of this place. Great people, great food and GREAT PRICES! (The best traditional English breakfast in London if you ask me). Can’t recommend this place enough. To the people of Waddon Café, Thankyou!”

“Fantastic cod'n'chips. I always ask for the fish to be skinned - I find the batter sticks better that way. Also ask for a box rather than having the fish wrapped - stays more crispy. Staff really friendly. Only consider recent reviews over recent weeks - the site was previously occupied by Bell's which really went downhill. Some of the reviews refer to Bell's. These people are new: they've refitted the place and have a completely different attitude. Also a 5* hygiene rating too - which from my observation is well deserved. The place is really clean. Good luck to The Fish Bar, they really deserve to do well. EDIT July 2020: My original review was a few months ago. Update: Still as good as ever and reopened after a short corona shut down. EDIT Dec 2021: Was a bit worried after a change of hands, but still as good as ever. Really think they deserve more support from local people.”

“I've been living in the area now for 18 months and have passed this place a few times, decided to pop in for lunch today and was highly impressed with the menu, proces and service. Lunch menu was well priced for a decent starter and main. Food was served fresh and tasted very nice. Our server was very polite and attentive also. I will be back.”

“This is one of new favourite place to order from. Everything i order from this place feel like some attention is given to food preparation. Everything so far is best quality. Their spicy potato wedges are my most favourite. So i would highly recommend this place to any burger lovers. The milkshakes are so full of goodness - i have never managed to finish entire one in a go. Full benefits/returns of whatever you pay. Only recommendation to the management is the papers you guys wrap the burgers in smell of printed colours. It at times leaves a little smell on the burger. The smell does go off in seconds and doesn't bother the taste of the food at all - but would be nice if that paper bit is sorted :) Still that smell wouldn't stop me from ordering yummy food from you guys.
