“What I really like about the Wine Reserve, other than the fantastic selection they have, is the knowledge, the interest and the passion the staff have for wine. Their recommendations have been great, and the service, the charm and the options on offer are all excellent. I’ve even ordered and had them send wine as gifts and for parties, and really the people there are so helpful. So much better than buying from a supermarket! Highly recommended.”

“Unbelievable service here, very attentive and engaging the food was TO DIE FOR. Only minor was the sharing steak (pictured) we felt should have chosen a larger size as we both thought it wasn't QUITE big enough, our fault, not theirs. The wine (pictured) is some of the best I've ever tasted as is the garlic bread starter (pictured). Will definitely be returning but at over £200 for 3 people probably only for special occasions. “This was my favorite pub. We spent a great deal of time and money there. Good friends made, both staff and locals. Unfortunately, the manager, has no class and a bad attitude. The Runner is on suspension, for me, for 60 days. If it ever happens again, I won’t spend another £ there. Reply - I am not about to Dox anybody. We love the food, atmosphere and friendships. The absolute majority of your staff is excellent. A little bit of tact goes a long way though, as opposed to a “Shoosh”. You should indeed have a conversation with managers about how they deal with people, especially some that drop 500 quid a month. Thanks, Ollie, Very Best. Update - The Running Mare has definitely upped their game. Give credit where credit is due. This is a wonderful place where You will find kind and interesting people. “My second visit and it was just as good as the first. A lovely long boozy lunch with friends. Food exquisite. Ate from the Xmas menu and the turkey was delicious (not dry at all). An amazing espresso martini too. A firm favourite.”

“This was some excellent pie. The thin crust Romana with a side of spicy dough balls was great and the toffee mini bundt cake with ice cream was amazing too. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.”

“I'd been hoping to try this restaurant out for a little while but hadn't had the opportunity. I was pleased to finally get the time. They had only just opened when we got there so ordered drinks, then starters and mains. Service was attentive but not pushy. The restaurant was busy but not overly so. It was a delight to have a "proper restaurant" at a motorway services. Hopefully I'll get to visit again; their romana bases are the best.”

“Nice and tidy clean shop. Cashier name Nanthu very helpful staff. Polite and smiley face. They do news agent, bills payment, key, Gas card top up, most groceries specially off license, nice and quality wine including Post office services. I confirmed definitely visit again this shop. “Surprised. I ordered kitchen katsu, although I was worried as the chicken looked dry and tough but it wasn’t. It was lovely and the rice was perfect! The young guy serving was very professional and polite!”
