“I love this place ! They do good char siu bao amongst others. Then I often try lots of Japanese noodles you won't find in regular supermarkets oriental/asian section even. Then they do moon cake which is really good, or I would have had to go into China Town to get.”

“I live somewhere else now and obviously I’ve tried many Chinese takeaways in Britain and around the world and nothing compares to this take away! I’ve had it since I was a kid, the food is always tasty, their spicy squid with chilli and salt is amazing, no other Chinese makes it like they do. The lady who runs the restaurant is also one of the most lovely, attentive person. Truly recommend this place!”

“I’ve never eaten at Poor Boys but have ordered from here a number of times and they never disappoint. In my opinion this is the best takeaway option in Kingston if you’re looking for American food. It’s not cheap but the food is delicious and always cooked to a high standard. I wouldn’t order the calamari again as this doesn’t travel well, but everything else can easily be heated up on the oven without compromising the quality. I love the popcorn cauliflower and was really disappointed to see this isn’t available as a starter/snack anymore, but hope they’ll bring it back soon. I’m a meat eater but always loved ordering it as a great side! The Cajun fries are an absolute must too.”

I had the calamari for starters and the classic burger for mains the calamari was lightly seasoned as it should be fresh and vibrant the burger was cooked to perfection with fabulous quality beef seasoned again perfectly . Home made fries are perfectly cooked . My wife and daughter had pasta dishes and they said the flavours were so intense and aromatic .. “There curry’s are delicious. Has a very homely flavour to them which is very close to authentic Bangali/Indian curry. Had their lamb madras which was lovely, could be hotter but nonetheless was yummy. My favourite is their Dhaal dish! Absolutely scrumptious and has such a silky taste! The best Iv tasted in a very long time! Light in taste just the way it should be. I highly recommend! And food arrived piping hot!”

“The best Indian in Kingston and always consistent! The food is delicious, always arrives hot and customer service on the phone is excellent and the so polite / friendly. Cannot recommend enough. I would say if you can then collect as they are quick at cooking but third party delivery services (like Uber Eats) are not so reliable. Obviously this is no reflection on the place itself and it's a shame that you have to call the restaurant to ask where the food is where it's put for delivery as it is no fault of theirs if it is late. I am one of those people (sorry!) but Spice Lodge are always so patient and cooperative when I do.”
