“There’s something about the garlic bread at Prezzo that makes you go wild. The combination of melted cheese, fragrant garlic and crispy bread is impossible to resist and is the best way to start off a meal. The Tre Gusti Pizza was delicious too, but I’m not sure it could beat the garlic bread!”

“We haven't been there for a while because of travelling, but the food was excellent as usual. The choices on the menu were awesome, with so much to choose from. The service was also of a very high standard as always. We highly recommend Umbertos for quality food and top service.”

“As you maybe aware I’m a big foodie who loves dining out in the finest of restaurants. But when it comes to choosing wine we either go for the countries that we know or we leave it to the recommendations of the sommeliers. So with this in mind we wanted to broaden our horizons let’s say by learning more about wine in general ie taste , smell , tannins , acidity etc. with the additional knowledge of knowing what wine wine is good value for money and which style of wine goes with which style of food. So we gave it some thought and approached our good friend and drinks expert Alison Taffs at the Hop Inn Hornchurch our local micro pub to see what she thought and because it was only going to be the two of us if it would be worth her while. But after a little chat we discussed a budget so it would make her time and effort worthwhile. We gave her a couple of weeks to put together a format and gather some wines to taste and talk about. This led us to sunday when our tasting would take place. We arrived at the Hop Inn and our table was laid out in the corner. You could see straight away that Alison had put a lot of effort into this to which we were very grateful. She had laid out tasting note sheets , an iPad screen displaying various information and a list of the six wines we would be tasting. She decided that we should keep the discussion to european wines and in particular Portugal , France , Austria & Germany. Her knowledge was incredible as she guided us through the different stages of tasting wine. This begins with appearance which will include the colour. This is followed by smell , condition , intensity and the character. Then it’s time to taste to find out if the wine is sweet or dry as well as how much acidity , length , body and tannins. To finish you would decide what type of food you would match the wine with. We followed this by talking about pricing and what wines from specific regions when you look at a wine list are good value for money. This information really was invaluable and will certainly help us in the future. We’d personally like to thank Alison for a fabulous wine tasting afternoon. To listen to her knowledge and passion really was a pleasure and we definitely got more out of this than we first thought. I would highly recommend if your interested in wine to arrange a session yourselves whether your a couple like us or a larger group you will certainly benefit from her vast experience in the industry. We’re certainly looking forward to booking another session with her soon”

I don't find it that bad. Some posh places in London will make you wait that long. That's why my friend, you order drinks in a meantime and wait. Let's be glad, Elm Park has such good place.”

“We have been to this restaurant twice now and each time the service and friendly staff led by Sybil was fantastic. The team and Sybil are very attentive and the food is beautiful. The restaurant is clean very spacious and has beautiful decor . The prices are extremely competitive to other Turkish restaurants we have been too in Hornchurch. We live in Emerson park and this restaurant is very convenient to walk to. It surly is making an impact in Hornchurch as the restaurant was busy today . It is child friendly and there are disabled access and a disabled toilet . We sat outside and it was very hot sunshine but the canopies made good shade and comfortable seating. In fact we have booked again with Sybil today for the bank holiday weekend to go back as it is my wife’s birthday . We highly recommend this super restaurant. Thank you Sybil and team Ian & sharon”

“What's not to love - excellent food at a great price!! I've eaten in and taken away at frencho's and have been thoroughly impressed both times. There's a noticeable difference when food is made with care, and the service is also top notch. Will definitely be recommending this place and suspect it will become a regular destination! “The Drill opened its doors again today and I just popped over for a couple of drinks and a meal, both of which were excellent! I can't wait to sample the whole menu in the future. The new and old staff were super friendly and the manager Wayne was very welcoming and was clearly running a well oiled machine. Their social distancing measures seemed to be working well and it felt like a safe environment to relax in. Being a pub garden fan though I was most impressed with their refurbished garden - outstanding! See you again soon!”

“Just enjoyed a lovely lunch at Onyx. Fabulous food and excellent service. Highly recommend the scallop starter and the pork cheek pasta and mussels, they also have delicious side dishes particularly the mushrooms, zucchini and spinach. Great choice of food and drink and our waiter whose name I didn’t catch but think he said K or Kai couldn’t do enough for us. Friendly, courteous and polite, I have nothing negative to say. “I visited The Good Intent pub today for lunch with a friend, we was greeted at the bar by a very friendly young lady, who told us that we could take a seat where we wanted and to order at the bar. We grabbed some drinks while there and found a nice table at the top of the restaurant. We order our food and it arrived within 20 mins food was hot and tasted amazing. We have decided that we would 100% add this to our list of places to come in future. 5 stars from the both of us.”

“Down to earth pub, with busy bar due to its good value prices and excellent value meal deals, that fill you up! Yesterday was curry club, got naan, 2 poppadoms, chutney, curry and rice with a JD and coke for £8.10 my wife had scampi, chips and mushy peas with Bacardi and coke bill was under £16 as you can see enjoyed every bit. Needed the walk home, properly full.”
