“If you are from out of town and want that REAL British food this is the place. Mushy peas, Fish and Chips, and local selections of beer. This is a pub so just expect to do things the way you would at a pub. The staff was nice to us out of towners. Good location and decent price.”

“We enjoyed a lovely NYE lunch here, there was a slight mix up with our drinks order but this was rectified quickly and we were given a free glass of Prosecco for the trouble. All staff were friendly and the food was great. Special mention to the bruschetta and risottos (both chicken and veggie) really lovely.”

“Amazing time for a birthday dinner, highly recommend! I came to Mittee with 25 friends for a celebratory birthday dinner and from planning to the actual evening, Prachandra and the team at Mittee were great! Prachandra helped me come up with a good set menu for the night, ensuring there would a be a wide range for people to choose from and was very pro-active in making sure I had all I needed and was ready for the evening. On the night itself, they were more than ready for us when we had arrived, having kept a separate section for us and even putting up some happy birthday banners, which was a really lovely touch. The food was phenomenal, with all my friends loving their dishes, and those with dietary requirements (nut allergies, vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerant etc..) were really well catered for. I had a wonderful time, and the front of house were amazing - with a special shout out to Ash who looked over our party really well. The restaurant itself is beautiful and a lovely venue for any type of dinner, celebration or event. The whole evening went a lot better than I could have hoped for, and I cannot wait to go back soon! Thank you for making my birthday really special!”

Chips equally as good, next time I'll have some fish. Staff really friendly. Great decor too and spotlessly clean. I've lived in the area for 40+ years and will be coming here much more. “Nice chips and pitta and good service, the staff were all very friendly. However, it is a bit expensive. For example, when i asked for my order the guy replied "no pitta, you have to pay extra for pitta, i will put the chips straight in your mouth". He then proceeded to pour boiling hot gravy into my mouth, i didnt even order gravy, i wanted chips in pitta.”

“The Sunday roast is fabulous. I had the veggie option and my partner had roast beef. Both were ample portions and very, very tasty. Staff can’t do enough for you and Lauren the manager is so welcoming and makes everyone feel like a regular. It’s a great example of a traditional pub.”
