“Like a few others I am surprised when reading the negative reviews. I can only speak of my own personal experiences and respect those who may disagree. I used to use Lloyds Pharmacy in Windsor Drive as I am a lot closer to that than Rowlands. However it got to the stage where I could not bring myself to go into Lloyds as I would have been rude to the staff, so I decided to change to another provider. Lloyds always blamed my Doctors for NOT sending my prescription which meant I always had to battle to get my medicines. Rowlands on the other hand have NEVER blamed my GP for NOT sending my prescription and have always been able to provide each and every tablet/cream/injections, you name it, they get it in. Sometimes I have had to wait a few extra days but this is NOT Rowlands fault as they can only dispense what they have in stock. Most people are unaware there are currently issues getting supplies in and this is not going to end anytime soon. Can you imagine having to stock every kind of medication, the shop would have to be the size of a football pitch, so don't get upset if they don't have what you want. To end this little rant, I can honestly say that I have always found the staff at Rowlands helpful and friendly. I am a person who gives as good as I get and a lot more, but honestly, I've never had a bad experience with them. The staff are there to provide us with a service. If we find they have not got what you want, give them time to explain why and politely ask the questions you have, without losing your temper or being rude. We need to give each other a chance. Just think of those who do not have the services we often take for granted. I feel fortunate to have what we have and thank all those who provide us with these services.”

The fact that she is also a fully qualified Pharmacist bolstered my confidence in her too. “Alf's fruit and veg stall is a little gem. We generally do our weekly fruit and veg purchases from here as they are normally ripe and lasts a number of days. No plastic wrappings that you would find in supermarkets just paper bags. Staff are friendly and helpful which is great. We have been coming here for years. There is a vast array of produce on offer from mangos to mushrooms, dates to bananas. Excellent prices for the amount you get. Highly recommended to keep the independent man or woman in business.”
