“Was there for funeral wake for my Cousin. It was his local, the Landlord Jamie and young lady serving were very welcoming. Jamie's Dad also. My Cousin was a 'Regular' so Jamie was also at his funeral service, which was a nice thing to do. The food was perfect and delicious. As it was quite early in the day we started the wake on tea but I then had a tasty wine & lemonade spritzer, it was lovely. Well done to all the team at the Winning Post for respectfully giving my Cousin a grand send off.”

“I rented out the Hopkins hall for my sons first birthday party. The hall was a good size for a small party and had a kitchen attached which we were able to use. I was in constant communication with the Hall Manager who was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions quickly. I would 100% reccomend this to anyone who needs it. “Lovely pub over two levels with a small beer garden out the back from the upper level and to the side of the lower level. The usual seating options available and everything was clean and tidy. The staff were lovely as was the breakfast. Afterwards, the Guinness was also proven to be excellent. Lots of interesting tree men throughout the pub - not sure why”
