“So impressed with this little pub!! I’ve driven past loads and felt like it deserved a visit. It’s less ‘micropub’ and more ‘classy bar’ vibes. Great music and amazing selection of drinks. They actually have taps on the tables with iPads where you can fill up your own cocktails or beers, what a super concept! The decor is sublime as it gives the impression you are in a holiday destination rather than in a pub in Blackfen. The icing on the cake was when I went to the ladies. Never have I ever been in an establishment where sanitary products, perfume and hair spray are provided, without the looky looky lady! I’ll definitely be returning. Thank you”

“Under new ownership the last few weeks, and now the food is fresh and really high quality, the batter has a lovely crunch and the cod really light and fresh. Cash only at the mo, but the owner said once it gets busy he will start accepting card. Very friendly owner. Let's hope the standard stays as high as it is at the moment. Will be back.”

“Went in late Dec for a meal with my wife. The ambience is quite in your face so if you like a quiet restaurant, maybe here is not for you but they play nice music and it's not so loud you can't talk. Food portions are huge, which we appreciated! Ordered the shared platter for two with a lovely bottle of Greek wine. Waiters were pleasant enough. It's not fancy but it is honest, solid food (and a ton of it), with a robust party atmosphere! It's not cheap but it's also not expensive either. I'd go back.”

“Staff friendly and polite. Food off a high standard and well presented. Only criticism is mains were served immediately after we had finished starters. A gap of maybe 10 minutes would have been preferable. Other than that it was an enjoyable experience.”

“All the staff only instance, Chris, very knowledgeable and friendly. Really great atmosphere and assistance should you need it is always available. All in all a great place to relax and do excercise. Today Sue at reception was extremely helpful at the entrance turnstile, very friendly and courteous. Callum a swimming instructor was extremely helpful when I had a query regarding the swimming lanes, am absolute gentleman”

“My sister-in-law had some beautiful flowers delivered in a Vintage hat box for her birthday, I was so impressed with them I noted the details and contacted Kim to ask her to do a couple of arrangements for me for Mothers day. I chatted to Kim on the phone about what to have and she suggested that she had some lovely ceramic pots and could do an arrangement in them. They were hand delivered on Sunday morning, Kim said she would sort her delivery route so that the flowers were delivered at a time that suited me. The flowers were beautiful and the ceramic pots were stunning. So nice in fact i have asked Kim to make one for me. I would give Kim 10 stars if that was an option. My Mum was over the moon so I am a very happy customer indeed and I will 100% use Kim again.”

“Me and my friend have been here almost every day for the last couple of weeks for lunch. The food is amazing and fresh. The service and staff are lovely. We are planning to go again next Tuesday and bring some more people with us. If you are vegan they have the Tofu & Avocado banh mi which is really good. Everything we have tried has been good and that's almost the whole menu. Would highly recommend.”

“Had an amazing family meal at Cacio e Pepe early Saturday evening on 31/07/21. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The food could not be faulted. In fact, the only fault I could possibly find would be that the starter portions are FAR too generous. We will certainly be sharing starters on our next visit. Very varied menu and everything we had was cooked spot on. Cannot comment on the deserts as we were far too full to even look at the desert menu. All in all a fantastic and authentic Italian restaurant to have on your doorstep.”

“Came here as it was en route to my destination, the reviews looked very promising; well let’s say that The Chunky Teapot did not disappoint. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile by Maisy who gave me a menu & advised me to come up to the counter when I was ready order. Now for the food, order what I usually would; Eggs Royale. Came really quickly & well presented. This is without a doubt the best Eggs Royale I’ve ever had. Poached to perfection, with a great half moon shape and tasty enough for a king. #ShoutOut2TheChef Reasonably priced food/drinks, clean, unique styling, very welcoming & friendly staff. “Very lovely place, I haven't been there in a few years and it's all changed. (For the better), they now have a lovely outside space and a heated seating area. Good choice of beer, cider, gin. Good atmosphere, they also serve coffee during the day. Dogs are welcome which is brilliant, and the family that run it are lovely. Rachel is a proper laugh. All in all its a great place and I will be going back.”

“Great local vet. My wife popped in to pick up monthly medication and ask the reception about a last minute appointment for our dog. The reception got us an appointment the same day and got our dog checked out. The vet was also extremely nice. Couldn’t recommend park vets highly enough.”
