“I ordered without reading the menu properly and was expecting a falafel wrap but what came was this delicious flavourful falafel box with really nice balance of flavours. Tasted really good and also felt like I was being healthy!”

“This place was great! Authentic German restaurant with nice outlook over the river. Wait staff dressed accordingly and everyone was very welcoming. It’s very meat based (as would be expected) but they have some veggie/vegan options which my friends enjoyed. I had sausages, mash and sauerkraut which was yum! And of course all the beer and wine is German too. Recommend booking ahead as it gets busy - but we were luckily able to get a walk-in on a Saturday night. We were in the smoking area outside but no one was actually smoking. Tables are big and good for groups. Will be back!”

“Thai on Thames is such a hidden gem. The food is delicious and the staff are so lovely. Our favourites are the Pad Thai, massaman curry, fried cod in curry sauce and the calamari! Definitely try this place if you are in the area”

“Lovely weekend lunch! The menu isn't extensive but there is enough choice and nobody felt they had to compromise. The kids menu was very good, plenty of options to cater for simpler and more adventurous tastes. The triple cooked chips, these days almost a pub cliché, are worthy of a special mention! Clean plates all around. What more can you ask for?”

They went above and beyond to ensure my mum's mothers day flowers were delivered on time and the flower bouquet was beautiful and really good quality. My mum loved the flower selection. My only issue is the atmosphere is a bit too sterile - lighting is too bright and the decor is nice but a bit cold. 5 stars for food and service though. Will be back!”

“I live somewhere else now and obviously I’ve tried many Chinese takeaways in Britain and around the world and nothing compares to this take away! I’ve had it since I was a kid, the food is always tasty, their spicy squid with chilli and salt is amazing, no other Chinese makes it like they do. The lady who runs the restaurant is also one of the most lovely, attentive person. Truly recommend this place!”

“A excellent range of real ales and ciders . A large interior with a bar in the middle. Snooker table and board games available. A exchange book service too. Also does pizzas to eat in with which where very nice as we tried three out of the four on offer Light music on throughout the pub and TV Screens showing sport but they will switch off if annoying. Well worth going to.”

“A lovely grand historical venue with amazing picturesque gardens. We attended a shared Xmas party as two couples joined by 3 other companies having their Xmas party. The staff were amazing and attentive, the food was great and the atmosphere and entertainment was great. Everyone had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to share a party and make some new friends. We didn't stay over so can't comment on the rooms. A special mention to Grant Chatfield, events manager who was extremely helpful and accommodating when we were booking and also gave as a lovely welcome on arrival.”

“Great gastro pub food and excellent service from attentive, non pushy staff. Good menu selection includes veg/vegan. Booked for a Saturday late lunch for our 1 year anniversary and enjoyed decent steaks (1 rare, 1 med) with blue cheese sauce (on the side), fries and mushrooms. Very relaxed, despite it being quite busy we didn't feel rushed so enjoyed our drinks and took our time ordering dessert - one apple crumble (pictured) and a very sticky (good thing!) treacle tart with a (slightly small but proper) blob of whipped cream. Lovely early Christmas atmosphere.”

I order their pizza and it was lovely, since then I returned to have coffee and cakes as well as lunch, and far all products very fresh and well prepared. The staff are always very friendly and keen to exceed my expectations. Family friendly and good choice for lunch.”

“This is my favourite Post Office in Kingston, hands down. I have been their regular customer for almost 2 years now, and even though I moved to a new place and have another, closer Post Office point (Kingston Hill), I still keep visiting Hawks Local. All of their staff is super helpful, they process my business shipments impressively fast (even as late as 9:30pm), and always with a smile. Bar service was really quick even though they were busy & they played an amazing range of R&B music! The DJ was so nice & shoutout to Hannah at the bar, she was truly the sweetest!
