Dinner gatherings in Woodford Green

“Visited for the first time on a Wednesday evening as a group of 4 friends, with the purpose of seeing Rob Lamberti (who is the best George Michael/Wham tribute act out there-that’s a whole other review!) This venue is like a tardis, with a long/ split ground floor level, large function room and a contemporary outside seated area too, with and 3 bars in total. Spotlessly clean, with an very aesthetically pleasing decor. The whole venue must be newly refurbished as nothing looks tired or worn and there are very stylish black and white pictures of famous faces covering all of the walls. The bar staff are super friendly and very welcoming and the owner Christine is just a delight! We left after a very pleasant 4 hours feeling like we had made a new friend. The house Prosecco was delicious and the pizza’s served in the function room were perfectly cooked, reasonable in price and arrived promptly. Wholeheartedly recommend this venue, if we lived more locally I know we would be regulars. Parking was easy for us as we found a space in the station a 30 second walk away, but otherwise it is street parking. There are large TV’s there showing all of the must see sporting action too. The venue was absolutely buzzing and a very good evening was had by all! Wednesday is definitely our new Friday after a visit to the Seasons bar this week!”

“It’s been open a few years now and the owner (Jan) has made it such a special shop to visit. He and the rest of his staff always make an effort to welcome anyone coming in, creating a warm atmosphere whether you want to shop and/or enjoy a delicious tea or coffee. It’s as much a community hub as a great place to find lovely treats to buy.”

“A local gem! South Woodford best kept secret - a lovely brunch spot with delicious food and great atmosphere. We will be back! This time we tried poached eggs on avocado toast (they were amazing) and steak baguette (one of the best hot sandwiches we have had in London). For sides we had frites and halloumi - both delicious (honestly, a simple side dish but worth mentioning given how good it was!)”

“First time visiting this place. Waiting was 5-10min for a table. They are busy. Service was very good and friendly. Food came on time, as expected. Each dish was cooked well with just the right marination. Food was amazing. Loved each dish. The prawns at the starter was smashing, so good finished it, then realised that I didn't take a pic. Will visit again very soon.”

“I always enjoy my order from here on Uber eats. Generous portions, tasty food and because there is no tracking when I’ve called up they are friendly. There is a good selection between mild to spicy dishes also which is great.”
