Although ridiculously busy all the staff were more than happy to accommodate our endless drink requests. The food was to a high standard, I would be happy bring my boss, my mum, or my friends here. “A warm and friendly pub with exceptionally nice staff (even to the point where the manager has checked that I am getting home all right - I was very touched), the Essex Arms is also notable for its monthly karaoke nights. The host, Gary Pryce, is a true professional, getting as many singers on as humanly possible, while giving supportive encouragement to anyone who has felt a bit nervous. Come on down and join the fun!”

“Simply the best around and not just for Indian style takeaway food. I've been looking for a good Chinese takeaway provider but none come up to the standards of provision that the Papadom demonstrate. I keep coming back to Papadom because of their huge variety of flavours, their willingness to vary their dishes when asked and generous portions. And the guys in the shop are just so very polite and accommodating. Martin.”

“Have food from here on a regular basis and has always been very nice. Very friendly delivery drivers as well. Last week I ordered online delivery and when delivered was one item short. That is not my complaint as things like this happen now and again. I rang and explained. Without hesitation or questioning, the young man promised to deliver the missing item asap and within 25 minutes I had the remaining dish. Excellent customer service (and food). Happy to recommend.”

“Great Chicken Shish, didn't want the rice, no salad just chilli sauce and pitta bread with a side portion of chips. Chilli sauce was perfect, not too spicy. Nice prices too served by nice, polite guys. Shame they leave before 21:30 on a Saturday night.”
