Delicious indian food in Twickenham

“What a wonderful place to eat. Service top notch and the food waves of spicy flavour. To start they brought out a complementary appetiser that was a crispy ball filled with herbs and you then pour in a small glass of tamarind liquid and pop the whole thing in your mouth. Wow! What a fantastic little experience! Then I had the chilli garlic mushrooms. Once you squeeze the lime over it the dish comes alive. Great flavours. For the main I went with the Chicken Khukuri with a garlic naan. Again a great choice. And as a final last nice touch they bring your hot towel out on a purpose built serving plate and add the hot water to it at the table. Great food, great service, great experience.”

“This is our regular curry restaurant. We've been coming here for many years. It used to be called The Gurkha Kitchen but they changed the name, although the staff and menu remained the same. The food is well prepared, tasty and reasonably priced. I could just deduct one star as there are parts of the restaurant that could with a lick of paint, but as the food and friendly service are so good, I want to stick with a full star count. I can recommend it.”

“I've been going to Twickenham Tandoori with friends and family for more than 10 years now. The food is reliably excellent, the atmosphere is typically buzzing. This is where people want to go on a Friday night after they've been for a few drinks further up Church Street. In summertime you can dine in the picturesque street outside, in wintertime you're cosy indoors. Well served by excellent staff. I will keep going to this place as long as its doors remain open. It is fantastic and I love it. I'm most certainly not alone.”

“Went here for dinner on a Friday evening in August. Extensive menu and modern interior. Enjoyed the food. Service was good too. As it was really busy we had some difficulty in hearing each other but not much can be done about that.”

“Came in here for dinner after the rugby and it was the perfect choice. The food is absolutely smashing and there is so much to choose from for both veggies and meat eaters. “I've been planning to go to this place for a while, and finally I did. Excellent Indian food cooked by experienced award winning chef, Naj Najmul. The waiter service was really good, especially Emon, who was very friendly and top for customer service and it was a very busy restaurant. Seen celebs there as well. Good selection on the menu, managed to find a parking space on Sunday, outside seating is also available. Would definitely go back again.”

“I only visited this place for takeaway service. But it seems it caters for a lot of night outs from the local West Middlesex Hospital, prior to the pandemic. The takeaway order was quick and tasted fantastic! I had ordered the vegetarian lunch box, which had quite generous portion, very tasty and healthy. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the place. The interior is very spacious and can host large gatherings, which is probably why this is the chosen venue for meetings and dos from the local hospital. Luch deals are definitely recommended!”

“The service is good, and food is even better. The papadam entree is worth coming back for! The owner and staff are friendly and kindly gave us complimentary drinks after our meal and a free papadam :) we miss the old decor with the bar and booths, but the place is still great and we love to go!”
