“Have been coming here for many years. The place is clean and tidy has great, friendly staff and you can buy from a large selection of menu items.The service is fast and the food is of good quality. Portion of chips are quite big and delicious!They are also open quite late. Free parking can be found outside in one of the bays. I would recommend this place.”

“This is the second time we have ordered from Wood & Stone and we were blown away the first time and we were not disappointed the second time. “Interesting polarisation of past reviews but I have to take as I find. I was only looking for advice and was upfront about the reason when I popped by. The shop manager was extremely helpful and spent a good 20-25 minutes taking me through all the complications of raw dog food. As a new owner I had some pretty dumb questions but I didnt get the sense at anytime that I had outstayed my welcome. The Owner clearly had a depth of experience (with dogs at least) and was happy to guide me. I would be surprised if you get that level of service in Pets at Home etc but it is a relatively small shop, heavily stocked so if room to push your shopping trolley is a priority, its possibly not the shop for you?”

“Daniel Mears has installed a gas boiler and central heating system to replace the defunct warm air heating system in our flat. He then fitted a new kitchen. I am delighted to recommend him. He is professional and approachable, as well as responsive. His work is absolutely excellent, as is that of the team of people who work with him. He pays attention to aesthetics as well as practicalities. Of particular note was the fact that we needed the job to be done within a specific timeframe and he overcame various obstacles to make that happen. His network of other good tradespeople is large, which is very useful when undertaking a project such as this. Lastly, we were not in the country whilst the work was done and yet we felt entirely comfortable leaving the keys with Daniel. He kept us informed as to progress with photos. In short, he is a star!”

“Took both my cats for annual boosters back in June during pandemic. Queued up in car park with others and staff came out after a short while and collected the cats to take inside the practice. Came out when finished and took payment in car park. Staff then answered my queries and ensured the cats vaccination books were documented. Uncertain whether they were knowledgeable about Ragdoll cats weights but said one was overweight but I know his weight is normal for that breed. Was happy with the safety procecures put in place but as we had only just changed vets it was daunting to leave them and not be able fo accompany them inside but this is understandable given the circumstances. I'm not sure if they send reminders out for next boosters but I have it noted for this June. Happy to recommend.”

And besides this, they do the best cuts in the area (and I've tried a few). £12 for men's cut but make sure you take cash with you as they don't take card and the card machine at the garage over the road is often broken.”
