Hampton Court House School
● Closed“Hampton Court House implements intellect, values and independence in each and every student. The school's unique and subtle qualities of love, equality and a passion for learning emanates an atmosphere of compassion and enlightenment. As a former student I can say with confidence that my life and mind would be in an entirely different state, and not one I would adhere to. Hampton Court House can and should be perceived as a statement against the dire condition and appalling lack of care our education system has employed on schooling. This school trumps the illogical parts of traditionalism and has revolutionized the way schooling is conducted in order to harness a wide array of qualities and skills that students benefit greatly from. Furthermore HCH actually prepares students for later life and teaches them about wider society, which is a huge benefit and difference compared to most other schools. Students leave HCH feeling immensely motivated and prepared to achieve great things.”

The Place
● Open“I have been The Place in total of 3 times, I like it. Its canteen is very reasonable and comfortable. Very close from Euston station. It is a bit difficult to find if you come from Kings Cross, but it is just next to Premier Inn of Duke Street behind a big church you can see from just outside Euston station. The theatre is a good size, easy to see from front row to middle row. I never sat at the back so I am not sure but I imagine it would be also good view. The theatre is a pit style so the stage is lowest and seats are going up gradually. Only thing I do not like about the location is that Euston Road is so heavy traffic all the time so it is frustrating to cross the road. Need to cross about 4 traffic lights to get the place from the station. And some traffic lights do not change for long time even there is not much traffic. With a child , it gets me nervous each time. They do an open day around the end of July every year, we went only once but that was totally inspiring and fun. My daughter learned about Maddy Ziggler from that day. We also saw a beatiful dance + theatre , a story about “a fish is getting so big to eat the world”. That was very good. We should have more shows like that for kids ( something not a Christmas panto, not just a comedy but inspiring / beautiful, not too expensive and most importantly not too long!!!) But many workshops looked like mostly for under 6, so my daughter might be a bit too old now. I went to see Zoonation Academy's Christmas show the other day here and it was excellent (I did not have any relatives or somebody I know in the show). Highly recommend it !”

Followed by lunch for the little one of a jacket potato which was included. I purchased a lovely Ham and cheese toastie (on amazing sourdough) with chips which was lovely.”

The Albany
● Closed“Having lived in South London for many, many years, this was the first time I had visited The Albany in Deptford. My eldest daughter, Shantéh, was the opening act for Steam Down (a household name in London’s music scene), which is an artist collective, weekly event and music community, also based in Deptford. The Albany hosts "four unique performance spaces" as well as rehearsal spaces. It incorporates facilities for meetings, conferences and events. There's the Albany Garden, Cafe and learning spaces to visit. The theatre also provides disabled access. The Albany appears well kept, is clean and staff are helpful. Definitely somewhere that is worth a visit.”

File and Forge Jewellery School and Workshop
● Open3 Bell Street, Sawbridgeworth CM21 9AR, United Kingdom“What a great decision! We had an amazing day making our wedding bands at File and Forge and couldn’t recommend it enough to other couples. We found it cost about the same as buying the rings from a shop and with the extra silver copy you make in the morning it’s even better value. The ladies are both super friendly, kind and helpful, perfectly straddling the line of letting you make your own ring and stepping in to make sure your ring was a high quality result. The new workshop is a lovely space to work too. Can’t recommend it enough!”

Dramacube Productions
● Closed1B Holly Road, Hampton Hill, Hampton TW12 1QF, United Kingdom“I can’t recommend Dramacube enough! My daughter has attended for over 2 years now and not only has she absolutely enjoyed every second, her confidence has blossomed with each production. The cast are like a family, incredibly supportive and encouraging. I love watching the children transform on stage, they are all very well cast to their personalities, ages and stages and you can see how much they all love being on stage. Attending Dramacube has given my daughter a weekly focus, staff have taught her so many life long skills, such as how to revise and learn lines, perform, dance and sing in a group and solo. If you are considering drama, then look no further as you will not be disappointed with Dramacube.”

Theatre Workshop Coulsdon

They really put their hearts and souls into every single production, and whilst they always take the plays very seriously they never take themselves seriously at all. If you’re looking for a wonderful, welcoming group then you really can’t go wrong with TWC.”

Stagecoach Performing Arts Kew
● Open“As someone who has worked with young people at an academic level before, I congratulate all teachers at Stegecoach Kew. My son is 11 y and English is his second language. He enjoyed every workshop he attended. Indeed, the Stagecoach Kew became a place my son wanted to go to every day. There are hearty, cheerful workshops and teachers that I can sincerely recommend to every parent, that add enthusiasm to children's lives, and support children's social, academic and most importantly pedagogical development.”
