“Had a wonderful dinner at Giggling Squid - Hornchurch. The decor was beautiful, the staff were friendly and the service was great. We visited on a Monday night and the restaurant was buzzing. We had the sharing platter for starters with prawn crackers, and the Thai melting beef, jungle curry and stir fry veg for our mains. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will be returning soon.”

“Gorgeous, freshly made sushi. The sushi rice had a perfect consistency and the seafood toppings were quality. We also went for a tuna poke that was super fresh, varied and flavoursome. Good portion sizes and that saying "you pay for what you get" certainly rings true here. Top that all off with a very friendly (and competent) sushi chef. A most welcome addition to Hornchurch. Best of luck! UPDATE 14 Feb: just tried the chicken ramen. Stunning! Rich, gorgeous broth - one of the best I've ever had and rammed full of chicken, vegetable and noodles.”

“There’s something about the garlic bread at Prezzo that makes you go wild. The combination of melted cheese, fragrant garlic and crispy bread is impossible to resist and is the best way to start off a meal. The Tre Gusti Pizza was delicious too, but I’m not sure it could beat the garlic bread!”

“We haven't been there for a while because of travelling, but the food was excellent as usual. The choices on the menu were awesome, with so much to choose from. The service was also of a very high standard as always. We highly recommend Umbertos for quality food and top service.”

“Visited yesterday approx 1pm on a Monday, as a couple, our first time, and it was excellent! Was really quite busy, which was great to see, but can also understand why. Nice ambiance, friendly staff, lovely design of the place and all crockery. Food was really fresh, perfectly priced and timed perfectly. Great menu, we had a tea each, bacon syrup waffles and chicken, pesto toastie. Nice range of ages in there too, friends getting together, family afternoon teas, couples and generally people out for lunch. 100% recommend, and will be back.”

“We were here just for refreshments but if I knew of this place in advance, we definitely would have had a munch here but from what we got, they were nice, can't go too wrong, so nothing bad to say The place it self was nice but the views you get from here is its USP for sure, especially on a nice day, weather wise. Getting here via public transport, Elm Park (District line/Hammersmith & City) would seem to be your best bet. Suttons Avenue (Stop S) via 165, 365 and 372 for buses. If around here again, we'll grab a bite next time.”

“Absolutely fabulous food. Takeaway was done within 10min. Food tastes lovely, great staff and clean premises. Small but very inviting place. And that someone moaned 20min is not acceptable? I don't find it that bad. Some posh places in London will make you wait that long. That's why my friend, you order drinks in a meantime and wait. Let's be glad, Elm Park has such good place.”

“We have been to this restaurant twice now and each time the service and friendly staff led by Sybil was fantastic. The team and Sybil are very attentive and the food is beautiful. The restaurant is clean very spacious and has beautiful decor . The prices are extremely competitive to other Turkish restaurants we have been too in Hornchurch. We live in Emerson park and this restaurant is very convenient to walk to. It surly is making an impact in Hornchurch as the restaurant was busy today . It is child friendly and there are disabled access and a disabled toilet . We sat outside and it was very hot sunshine but the canopies made good shade and comfortable seating. In fact we have booked again with Sybil today for the bank holiday weekend to go back as it is my wife’s birthday . We highly recommend this super restaurant. Thank you Sybil and team Ian & sharon”

“Best Chinese food in the area, good prices, great portions, the menu has a wide range of different food to choose from including Vietnamese and Thai food and it always tastes great - especially the salt and chilli king prawns. The takeaway food is also of a high standard. Staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome and it feels more like a family kitchen that serves home cooking than a cafe or restaurant which i think is really nice.”

“Only one other table eating when we arrived mid-afternoon for our first visit to Tunch Kitchen on a lovely bank holiday Monday. We ordered the Turkish wine, which was gorgeous and were given some tasty, warm flatbreads with dips (one garlic and one chilli). We ordered from the set two course menu at £9.50 per person. Each of the meals were really delicious and portions sizes were quite big. We were offered more bread and dips with the main and were given a complementary dessert to share. Theo, our waiter, was brilliant and the decor and ambience were great. Will definitely be going back again very soon!”

“Delicious food topped up with Impeccable service. Everyone in the staff from the front desk to the chef are extremely friendly and welcoming to the guests. We were well looked after by the multi-lingual, professional and polite manager - Sachin! You would not be disappointed if you travelled from a million miles away for the chicken biryani. The chef loves to surprise the guests with a special not-on-the-menu dish, in our case the achari chicken, karahi chicken, Tiger prawns curry is amazing and the bhindi masala is on the mark. I am looking forward to try their weekend with the family.”
