“I've only ever driven through Cheam before my visit yesterday, a trip by public transport (tram and train) from Croydon specifically to visit the Whitehall museum, housed in a grade II* listed former domestic dwelling dating from before the reign of Henry VIII. While the museum is an important place of reference for local history, geared more towards children than adults, it also houses the excellent Freedom Caffe' tearoom. The restrictions imposed by such an old, historic house may mean they can't use a normal commercial coffee machine but the range of soft drinks is impressive and more importantly, the vegan options for lunch are delicious. I highly recommend both the vegan sausage roll with salad and the vegan Greek. Then there are the cakes... The only vegan option on the day was a chocolate pear and apple cake but it was gorgeous and the staff were attentive and friendly and the food reasonably priced. I also noted the fresh pasta preparation. There's more to Cheam than the museum but whatever else you're doing it's well worth making sure you visit the Freedom Caffe' for a drink and a bite to eat.”

“Always assured a great coffee and snacks from this independent coffee shop on Sutton Surrey. There are many coffee establishments to choose from in Sutton, but I much rather support an independent who actually care about coffee and service. I have been frequenting Tazza since around 2010 when I was living in Sutton, but still go there 7 years after moving away from Sutton. The best quality coffee in town. Thanks Tazza!”

“My wife and I visited Cheam Cottage for the first time today, and it's a fantastic place! I had the Thai fried rice with chicken (delicious) and my wife went for the Korean chicken wings with salt and pepper chips (also delicious). The portion size is generous and the lady running the place was very friendly and accommodating. We will most definitely be back!”
