“When returning from a training session with a lunch time run group in 2016 I was unfortunate enough to become caught up in a tragic event in my local town of Walton on Thames. While running home along the river I was alerted to two teenage boys who were swimming nearby. When I arrived at the riverbank adjacent to them it became clear that one of them was in trouble and struggling to stay afloat.
