The King William IV
● Closed“I enjoy the kind of complaints that I read, because it means that if I have lower expectations I might be able to get a table easier… Does that make sense? I loved the food, the ambiance, and the service. I went with my daughter after doing half of our hike. A couple of pints and I lovely pastry filled with meat vegetables gravy classic British fare. A spectacular view, and all in all it was a lovely day.”
-
Tide End Cottage
● Open“July, sunny weekend, and still enough places for a group of 8 to sit and enjoy the food and beer. Food was great, great selection of beers, service was good and the secret garden at the back was a bonus. I really not sure why the pub next door is so full when this little gem was half empty, but we took it to our advantage.”

Iliyan's burgers are truly among the best in London, without a doubt the best you'll find for £5 including chips, and Iliyan is a kind and dedicated chef. Unfortunately I left my hat on my table, which just gives me an excuse to go back sooner!”

-
The Wells Tavern
● Open“The Wells Tavern is one of Hampstead's best gastro pubs offering all that is needed to be a neighbourhood favourite including a great location, outside seating with heaters and large canopies, good service, tasty food and two floors offering formal and informal dinning. The prices are on the high end when compared to other areas of town, but it is part of the "Hampstead premium". The ground floor is a traditional bar with tables, sofas and all around dog friendliness. The food menu includes plates of chorizo with red pepper and gherkins, cod fishcakes, burgers and grilled tuna steak. Tables outside are at a premium when the sun shines. The upstairs is made up of three small dining rooms, with a more formal menu and setting. The scallops (£14.50) part of the starter menu where fresh and full of flavour, while the ribeye steak (£29.50) was tasty. The portion of chips could be larger but they were perfectly cooked. The duck leg (£19.85) was cooked perfectly.A great spot for drinks, a quick bite to eat or a more formal meal if you do not mind the premium prices.”

The Red Lion
● Open“Proper old-fashioned pub, tucked down an alley in St James’s. Something of a time warp. Don’t get too excited about the beer (no cask ale), and the prices are steep (as elsewhere), but even so it’s one of the best pubs in central London, and miles better than most of the options nearby”
-
The Queen Charlotte
● Open“The Queen Charlotte, funnily enough on Charlotte st is a delightful pub offering a range of brewdog beers, sadly only one cask on offer. Lovely people behind the bar offering wonderful service. Lovely pub.”
-

● Open69 Pawsons Road, Croydon CR0 2QA, United Kingdom“A proper pub that serves a great pint, there's no breastfeeding mums drinking posh coffee in here! Friendly staff and customers make anyone welcome. Gets very very busy when Crystal Palace are home but that's a good sign!”
-
The Craft Beer Co. Brixton

-
Prince of Wales
● Open“Traditional looking pub from the outside, but with a refurbished interior and a certain edge to the music choice. It's done in a genuine way and not too 'try hard' but it's definitely not your Dad's country pub. There's still a good selection of ales and lagers, plus the bar staff were relaxed and friendly.”
-

The atmosphere is beautiful and high end, yet comfortable. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time, because the pub gets very busy (understandably so!).”

Cittie of Yorke
● Open22 High Holborn, London WC1V 6BN, United Kingdom“Incredibly cool and unique pub. The decor has been kept to a really unique old London style, really feels like you're stepping into history here. The selection of alcohol is quite broad and has a lot of unique and great tasting options available, particularly the beers available on draught and the fruity beer options. There is usually enough seating available and has some booths available that are brilliant for groups. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Pricing is about average for the area.”
-
