"Incredibly cool and unique pub. The decor has been kept to a really unique old London style, really feels like you're stepping into history here. The selection of alcohol is quite broad and has a lot of unique and great tasting options available, particularly the beers available on draught and the fruity beer options. There is usually enough seating available and has some booths available that are brilliant for groups. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Pricing is about average for the area."

"A most charming old world feel to this characterful English pub modelled on a much more historic design. I loved it. Just passing through today, but I heartily recommend it.... And on a hot scorching day outside, it is refreshingly cool inside, and with a tasty beer and pie or fish n chips you are in heaven....!! Don't miss the opportunity to visit!!"

"For anyone not familiar with Samuel Smith pubs it's worth noting that they serve their own range of beer and spirits and have a very particular style: consciously old-fashioned with no music and traditional pub-grub. This particular location is perfect for that type of brewery, with high vaulted ceilings and an almost church-like decor. Worth a visit if you're into ales and historic buildings."

"A highlight of out trip. The location is historic. The beer outstanding (recommend the red ale bitter and the pure brewed organic lager). Has several niches/booths to sit with friends in privacy. A trip to the past expecting the knights to show up any moment ."

"Very strange bar. Not a winery not a church, very dimly lit and ferociously hot for some reason. The kind of place you would go on Halloween. All drinks and I mean ALL, are brands you've never heard off and not the cheapest bar either. I'm sure it has a cult following, sadly I'm not part of it. You can't like everything I guess"
