“I’ve lived in Old Isleworth for eight years and have always meant to take a cruise up to Kingston. Was so much better to see the river from a boat, so many different views. The boat is good value and very comfortable with a bar and loos. Staff are very friendly and efficient. We walked back to Teddington lock along the Thames Path- about 15 minutes and stopped for a pint before getting the bus home. A great trip.”

The kids menu was very good, plenty of options to cater for simpler and more adventurous tastes. The triple cooked chips, these days almost a pub cliché, are worthy of a special mention! “This is an old fashioned 'local' with no food served other than crisps and peanuts etc but the landlady is very friendly. My walkers group have just resumed visiting there after our walk and she always bakes delicious cakes for us. There is a nice little garden to the side of it with very comfy patio furniture”

“A lovely grand historical venue with amazing picturesque gardens. We attended a shared Xmas party as two couples joined by 3 other companies having their Xmas party. The staff were amazing and attentive, the food was great and the atmosphere and entertainment was great. Everyone had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to share a party and make some new friends. We didn't stay over so can't comment on the rooms. A special mention to Grant Chatfield, events manager who was extremely helpful and accommodating when we were booking and also gave as a lovely welcome on arrival.”

“I took my partner here for afternoon tea on his birthday. We had an excellent time. The staff - Roxanne and Chris - went out of their way to welcome us and to make the experience feel special. The afternoon tea itself was fantastic with beautiful freshly prepared sandwiches and fresh warm scones (baked in-house). Highly recommend for dinner, lunch or a special occasion - we’ll be back soon!”
