The Grosvenor
“In my opinion this is the best pub in Ealing. Great food, great service - personable and genuinely attentive to detail. The pub has plenty of space airy and is full of natural light. I celebrated my daughter baptism in the room upstairs and it was just perfect. Sa and the team are doing a great job and I go there regularly for a Sunday roast or just for a beer with friends. Well done.”
Pinner Green Social Club
“Had my 50th here. Nice size hall. Friendly staff. Had a great night.”
The Queen's Head, Kingston
“Lovely weekend lunch! The menu isn't extensive but there is enough choice and nobody felt they had to compromise. The kids menu was very good, plenty of options to cater for simpler and more adventurous tastes. The triple cooked chips, these days almost a pub cliché, are worthy of a special mention! Clean plates all around. What more can you ask for?”
The Canbury Arms Kingston
“Perhaps the best Sunday roast I had in 8y living in the UK. I’ve been there with friends and I ordered the Jacob’s ladder to share. The meat was absolutely phenomenal, incredibly tasty and perfectly cooked (12h slow cook). Each vegetable served with meat (roast potato, carrot and butternut squash purée, etc) was flavourful as well as the Yorkshire pudding. The pub is very nice and it’s located just 5 min away from the old market square in Kingston. Friendly staff, reasonable prices”
The Norbiton
“The manager and staff were amazing on Friday evening. We arrived with a Spanish exchange group of 32 teenagers and 8 adults! Many more than planned. The staff dealt with this brilliantly and took it all in their stride. Fantastic work guys! Thank you again! Vicky”
Jolly Gardeners
“This is an old fashioned 'local' with no food served other than crisps and peanuts etc but the landlady is very friendly. My walkers group have just resumed visiting there after our walk and she always bakes delicious cakes for us. There is a nice little garden to the side of it with very comfy patio furniture”
The Woodhouse
“Friendley staff and cozy place to have a nice, warm, with reasonable price breakfast. I love the coffees they have.”
The Famous Royal Oak
“A fantastic pub which is at the heart of the local community. The oak has a brilliant landlady and excellent staff. Nice Guinness, sport on the TV, a great Sunday roast, a fun Thursday night pub quiz and most importantly always a warm welcome.”
The King & Queen, Caterham on the Hill
“Not a very welcoming environment. Staff were very straightforward with a stern straight forward question. What are drinking. No Hello or small talk, only an order to make sure I keep my Assistance Dog on his leash. No decent Lagers like, Fosters, Stella, or any other favourite British public House traditional lagers.. I definitely won't be going back to that miserable environment.”
The Corner Bar
“A proper old school local boozer the staff are amazing and always friendly.... free jukebox and just a great vibe”
Sheephaven Bay
“Hard to find a better Guinness… Food is good and there are a selection of screens to watch the sport.”
The Crown
“Edit August 2022 - five stars. I have visited the pub 6 times and have found the service and food pretty consistent, from the first day of opening to some of their most busiest times in the evenings and sunny days. They do roast dinners very well, the condiments are as good as the food and I suspect they are freshly made on site - horseradish had enough burn, mint sauce tastes fresh etc. There is a good selection of draught, as well as soft drinks. The luscombe brand is well worth trying as a non-alcoholic drink. Soda water is also available by the pint which is good to see. As a vegetarian option (can't remember if they are vegan), the allotment salad is tasty and available as main or small plate. I have had it twice and the leaves have always been fresh. If you don't like much dressing I'd recommend asking for it on the side, however it is the right amount for me. I did prefer the salad to the veggie haggis pie as I felt the flavours didn't blend as well with the rest of the filling. If you enjoy meat options, I would definitely recommend the chicken pie as a hearty option. A nice salad option would be the sticky beef salad, although I would recommend taking it as a smaller portion than the large main. The steak frites was delicious, very well cooked, a tasty steak and you definitely can taste is a higher quality cut. If it is a Sunday, definitely try out the roast dinners, you won't be disappointed. I have tried two of the desserts, a morello cherry sundae (with popping candy) and the dairy free Belgium waffle dessert. I think that both were equally good. The cocktails are great, I also enjoy the hot drinks too. If you are looking to visit in busier times, I would definitely recommend booking. The managers and staff are friendly and hardworking, this pub is definitely a welcome treat for the local area. I'd say, to get this review to 5 stars, it will just come with time as we know the hospitality industry in under pressure and novice staff are undergoing training, which can be more complex than it looks.”
The Queens Arms
“Great pub with a good selection of real ales and a warm welcome. Anytime I'm down south I'll always try and visit.”
The Ship Inn
“Cannot fault this place at all. Staff are always so welcoming and service and food are fab (especially the Sunday roasts!). We always bring our young dog with us and the staff are so accommodating!”
The Plough
“Lovely friendly staff and the food was excellent. First time we had eaten there and we will certainly be going back.”
The Rose Overy Street
“A lovely friendly Pub . A good choice of beers and wine. A splendid Sunday dinner at a very good price . We will definitely be going back again . Thank for fitting us in at the last moment.”
The Waterside Venue
“I had my mamma Mia themed birthday party at the waterside. Conor, Kevin and the rest of his team went above and beyond to ensure that everything went as smoothly as possible - I could not fault them. It is such a beautiful venue, perfect for weddings, parties etc. I would highly recommend!!!”
Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre
“Came here to watch Newsies, absolutely fantastic show and the staff were so friendly and helpful! Venue was excellent and well managed too give the amount of people there, comfy seating too! I had a friend who has bought a programme for every single musical she's ever seen in her life. We tried to buy one after the show but they were all sold out. I came back a week later and popped in 2 hours before the show and was helped by some friendly staff who even opened up the merch stand an hour early just so I could buy a programme for my pal. Really lovely experience and can't wait to be back again!”
KB02 Venue Hire
“I booked the event on 2nd April for a large group of us! (Around 25) we were greeted by Steve & Stella and they were extremely helpful and friendly! All of my guests were waiting inside the venue as it was a surprise birthday. Stella arranged for everyone to be waiting for the surprise and even had the DJ play 'Stevie Wonder - Happy Birthday' whilst we walked in! The DJ was playing tunes all night and everyone was dancing, playing games or having fun in the softplay section. It was the best event I have ever been to as it allowed everyone to relive their childhood and just have a wicked night. The owner Daniel was extremely helpful from the beginning, he arranged to meet in person so I could pay for the tickets and was extremely professional and helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone for parties and celebrations! We didn't stop laughing all night! Thanks guys, you are the best!!!”
St Luke's Community Centre
“A functional, thriving community centre in the true sense of the word. We just need places like this for youth again now. St Luke’s sets a great example”
Brixton House
“I’ve been to Brixton House a few times over the past few months to drumming workshops & most recently to try out the community choir. On every occasion the front of house staff have been so friendly, welcoming & helpful. Box office personnel also efficient & polite over the phone. The programme of events & activities is varied & I find it to be a very accessible & inclusive space to explore creativity. The drumming was fun & tailored to the group & the choir leaders were professional yet encouraging & approachable & made the session really enjoyable. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!”
Mornington Hall
“We've attended many a classes and shows at Mornington Hall. Such a lovely space in the heart of North Chingford”
Beckenham Place Mansion
“We love this venue. It is a beautiful space for parties or weddings if you book enough in advance to get a slot. The rooms have views over the park, the events team are really helpful. The ceilings have stunning wedgewood style designs. There is an air of faded grandeur that we really loved. The team recommend reliable caterers and a lighting business who know how to make the best of the venue. Highly recommended.”
Mycenae House
“Great place for the community to meet and have a good time. A few baby classes as well as other for people to meet as points of interest”
Churchill Theatre
“Another Christmas Panto with the family. Great show, friendly staff. Accessible for all, different types if shows to include everyone and even relaxed performances. A great family trip.”
Lakeside Karting
“I love the track and the atmosphere there. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The only negative is that on my last visit, there was a puddle of standing water in a corner of the track that would not drain. But I have been visiting the track several times, took part in the league championship last summer and will definitely return as soon as the weather conditions improve.”
Everyman Muswell Hill
“Such a wonderful cinema. The whole place is beautiful Art Deco style. Very comfortable seats and sofas with plenty of leg room and blankets if you feel cold. Staff welcoming. Brilliant experience every time.”
