“This is definitely one of my favourite pubs in the Wimbledon area, it’s so nice in the summer months and nice and cozy inside in the winter. Being part of the Youngs pubs in the area I’m surprised they have so many, and they survive, but I’m glad to say they are surviving. They always have a nice selection of beers, today we had a proper local ale the “Wimbledon Brewery Pale Ale” which is such a great local brewery. They had a nice warm fire burning, but due to our timing we needed to sit out side and they have a great out door area. I can’t comment on what the food is like at present, but historically I have always felt satisfied, but like all the youngs pubs in the area, especially compared to my locals it is slightly punchy. For example 3 beers and a pint of Diet Coke came to £21 I’ve included a picture of the toilets as a lot can be said about a pubs toilets, and these were nice and clean and well maintained. Our only gripe is that the glasses were a little dirty, it looked like the dishwasher filter needed changing. Not enough to complain about and embarrass ourselves. It looked like lemon or lime fragments, which I’m not so precious I had to take my pint back and complain about.”

“Lovely traditional pub, situated next to Ham Common and close to Richmond Park. This family run pub offered up a great selection of beers and ales as well as a nice food menu. The staff were great and very attentive, and the food arrived quickly. The portion was generous and the food overall was nicely presented and tasty”

“We stayed here for 9 nights in July and it exceeded all of our expectations! We had low expectations because we were looking for a budget friendly place. There are aspects that definitely felt low budget, but that's expected with a budget inn. I can't say enough good things about our stay here. The staff was so lovely and patient with my young kids. The inn was quiet and clean. It's right by Tesco and Sainsbury, and also near several bus stops, so it was easy to get to anywhere we wanted to go. We had breakfast there one day and it was hot and delicious! I would definitely stay here again.”

“We strolled, at gaudy Vapor trailed sunset, past the iridescent fun fair, permanently locked into a pastiche of the 1990s. The southern path, furthest from the noise and exhaust fumes of the two urban dual carriageways, sees impromptu family parties being held, with gazebos, camping chairs, food to share. Lazing and chatting in the luxurious ebbing heatwave evening. Like ‘76, the worn sections of the pathways lose their grass cover to the west and tear of joggers and walkers, then the bare clay beneath splits open as it is exposed to the overly hot, climate change heat. We sit at the top of the rise, and the plaque on the bench points out Rose Hill, in front of it St Helier Hospital, both barely visible now that the evening comes to an end and warm night approaches. I like this place.”
