“Pleasantly surprised by this hidden little cafe inside King George Recreation Ground. Food was surprisingly good quality. Cooked breakfast is big and delicious, scrambled eggs come with salad and pitta bread. Coffee was good. It's spacious inside with lots of heavy wooden table and chairs. Also dog friendly. Recommended!”

“I think the Christmas dinner and prawn cocktail was great, the waffle was also good too, the salad bar very fresh and the staff was attentive. The ingredients were extremely fresh and would recommend anyone to go. The festive menu is at a good price - £18”

“A friendly , welcoming pub with good quality food and drinks. It's always busy without being hectic. Sunday Roast portions are very generous but the fish dishes are more modest. However the creamed spinach side dish is amazing!”

“Cracking freshly cooked breakfast with steaming hot scrambled eggs, home made bubble and squeak and great coffee. And such friendly staff and lovely chef Caron was so lovely with the kids - they got to draw chalk pictures on little blackboards and hang them on the wall. “I recently visited Mabel's Vintage Tearooms with a group of friends, vegetarians and one vegan. Nobody missed out. Everyone was well catered for. The sandwiches, scones and cakes/desserts were absolutely delicious and fresh. They also had beautiful gardens to stroll around. Service was brill. I would def recommend. FYI no walk ins, needs to be booked in advance”

“Popped in for a quick lunch on a freezing Friday. Only one member of staff behind the bar and ferrying food, but she did a brilliant job and was extremely friendly. Food was surprisingly good and while not 'cheap', I think it was worth it. Not busy for a Friday lunch, which is a little worrying. I hope to visit again soon.”

“The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The kitchen was closed but the chef overheard that we were 'starving' and she kindly offered to prepare whatever we wanted. The food was great! They have lovely outdoor seating which is well spaced out to maintain social distancing.”

“Don't understand the low rating of this place. Absolutely 10/10 evening. The food was absolutely delicious, not your average dishes! The service of the staff was impeccable, cannot fault it at all. The lady's who waited the table were so attentive and polite, unfortunately didn't get names. We also ordered shisha and it lasted the whole evening, fantastic flavours recommended from the gentleman serving us. Biggest thank you to James who helped us with every request (there were many) thanks for being fantastic and so welcoming and accommodating, you made the evening what it was. Cannot wait to return. Thanks Ibs! Also just to add, the fillet mignon was absolutely mouthwatering!”

“I haven’t been to the Tudor for about 10 to 15 years not how I remember it at all very light and airy, spacious and welcoming. The prices are reasonable for drink and food. Had a lovely Katsu, curry and fries.”
