“We regularly use Lal akash. Specifically, we collected a takeaway on Tuesday evening. The food was tasty and very well made. The chef was extremely friendly and even made a point of trying to call us to let us know that the food was ready for collection so that it would not become cold. Well worth a visit.”

“They’ve done refurbishment both inside and out, but the food is still as tasty as before. We were a party of 7 and ordered one family grill and a large mixed grill with two dishes of Calamari. Their freezer got broken and no desserts were available except Baklava and rice pudding. It was very disappointing, but they gave us free Baklava and Turkish tea. I love Baklava. There are hit and miss sometimes, but it was so good that I ate three pieces! Carolina waited on us with honesty and great care. She is wonderful. I highly recommend the place.”

The ambiance was lovely and the decor was authentic, transporting me to India (for once, the music was not too loud !). Now onto the food - every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I especially loved the lamb shank and the minced lamb naan. “Strange reviews here. Order from here maybe 6 or 7 times a year over the last 10 years and think the food is great. I accept that they don't use the most expensive cuts of meat but prices reflects that. The taste though is fantastic. Love the dansak and pathia most but lots of really tasty dishes.”

“This small Restaurant provides a much better customer service, delicious dish and a very generous portion than Spice village which is across the road. We initially went to Spice village but letter decided to dine at Chatkhara due to a long cue at spice village. I'm glad we ate at this restaurant because the service, quality of food and their generous portion really exceeded our expectations. Very polite and professional staff. I highly recommend it.”

“The BEST Indian. When you order always get the chicken tikka masala SAUCE. It’s like sweetish but goes well with dipping your garlic naan in and over biriani. I have moved out of the area and wish I could still get their Indian food :(. That sauce makes the whole meal and is why I think they are the best honestly. So sad I can’t get it anymore.”

“In London for an overnight layover and was looking for a quick late night takeout option. I found a flyer for this place at my Airbnb and decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did! They were very accommodating given they were about to close and despite having other deliveries, we got our food in a timely manner. I didn’t have pounds on hand so they let me use my credit card to pay upon delivery. The chicken biryani and chicken tikki masala were excellent and piping hot when we received it. We devoured both dishes quickly because they were so delicious! Thanks again! I will definitely visit again when we are back in London.”

People serves very respectfully.Best peri peri chicken and Also have good Bariyani. However, Parking is an issue, sitting is good but not too good. I’ve been coming here for years- Eat-in and takeaway and always enjoyed everything. Staff are always friendly and food always great and good value too.”
