“The Coriander is quite unique in the fact that it's a stand alone building within Buckhurst Hill Station. Don't let it fool you, it's definitely one of the better "Indian" restaurants that you have the pleasure of visiting. If you want sit down and have a good meal with an authentic atmosphere then this is a good place to choose.”

The chicken shawarma was top notch, nice, juicy and had flavour to it, not bland as most restaurants!! A good portion too. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend trying this restaurant!”

“Amazing, nothing less than praise for this place. We came by chance here and what looked like a regular pub turned out to be an Indian feast. We hadn’t booked but the place is so big that they can easily accommodate for any size. Food was super delicious, I highly recommend the lollipop chicken for starters alongside the okra fries. For mains we had a masala, a jalfrezi and a madras; all of which were amazing along with pilau rice and a bread basket. In my personal opinion the curries could be a touch spicier but I like my stuff very spicy. They also serve Indian Cobra beers. Staff were also very friendly and attentive, service super speedy. Loved the vibe and will definitely come back over the summer to check out the garden.”

“Haven’t been to Samrat for at least 20 years, visited because of Eat Out to Help Out. Really friendly atmosphere and families with children were very welcome, food was spot on. King Prawn Bhuna with Nans was excellent. Tandoori dishes perfect, bring your own alcohol was also a bonus. Definitely will come back”

My only comment is that the food gets cold quickly, hot plates or dish warmers are not used on the table, so if you're wanting to chat and eat, you food could be a little on the cold side.”

I've never had Pani Puri before but I would definitely recommend it in this restaurant, you put the spicy water into the ball with the chickpea and potato, then eat the hole thing in one bite. It's an excellent starter, I'll have it again the next time I visit.”

Had Birra Moretti on tap, followed by drinking Whisky. Henal kaka is a friendly & helpful man. Owner came to speak to us too. Would go back again. RECOMMEND!”
