The Old Brewery
● Closed“It was a beautiful day, so we stopped here after cycling for a short break and coffee. The surrounding area is peaceful. A lot of outdoor seating and no step access - good wheelchairs and buggy’s. If you sitting on the outer section, you have river views too. WCs are clean and spacious. Table service possible via the QR code on the table. We didn’t eat but the food that came out to other tables looked lovely. Will be back to eat and revisit. Close enough to the hassle and bustle of the main thoroughfare.”

Coach and Horses, Greenwich
● Closed“Went to the Coach and Horses on Sunday, had booked a table but arrived early, staff were really helpful re-jigging to find us a table in a very busy pub. Great staff, friendly and on the ball. Belly pork roast and beef roast were both excellent! Top marks, will definitely be back,”

The Sail Loft, Greenwich
● Closed“This pub is definitely a six star. A relatively recent build in 2016 it offers a tasteful and homely atmosphere. Very good service from the rectangular island bar. The layout is modern with generous glazing at the front offering good views over the Thames. An added bonus was that board games were freely available. I taught my teenage daughter to play battleships. I did it too well as the little horror beat me. An excellent pint of pride too.”

The Portman
● Closed“Phenomenal. Love this place, and I travel all over the world. There must be a 100 bars and restaurants within a 3 block radius of the Marble Arch... This place is the best of them all. The food is outstanding, the beer selection is great, The wait staff and bartenders are professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. The fact they are all smoking hot is a bonus! The drinks are fun and well done, and, again, the wait staff is amazing. The fish-and-chips are perfect. The chips are slim and crispy like McDonald's, not fat and potato-y. The mushy peas are flavourful and wonderful--order extra, if you like mushy peas! The short rib was tender, flavourful and perfect. The mussells were an absolute treat. Did I mention that the service was outstanding? And don't miss the sticky coffee pudding with ice cream at the end! Done right, traditional, and wonderful. Order it with extra sauce and extra ice cream! One order is easily enough for 2 unless unless you have a sweet tooth then you may want to order 1 each! As a bonus, if you like American football, the Carpenter Arms, a half- block away, has it (including NFL Red Zone) on live TV on Sunday nights An absolute jewel.”

Plus they weren’t serving food at the time I got there, but they suggested the Chinese across the road and allowed us to bring it in and drink while ate the food.”
