Bad Axe Throwing Wembley (Activities, events, bar)
● Closed“My husband and I visited Bad Axe on a whim one day while we were at Boxpark Wembley and this did not disappoint! Our host was fantastic and by the end of the hour, we were loving it (whether the throw was good or bad!). The staff are helpful, the place is kept really clean, and we felt very safe with all distancing, sanitation, and safety requirements (you are throwing sharp blades after all). Axe throwing is definitely not just for the athletically gifted; even I got into it and was loving it despite not being that sporty otherwise. You'll definitely feel so badass doing this. We can't wait to do it again!”

Spasso
● Closed“I had dinner at Spasso with my girlfriend, back in April. We had the cheese and charcuterie board to start with and two pasta dishes to follow. We were then too full to order a dessert. The quality of the ingredients was great and Luigi, the owner, was very knowledgeable and approachable. He even let us try his special homemade limoncello. We will definitely go back.”

The Chelsea Cellar
● Open“I came here as part of a business group for dinner yesterday evening. Firstly, WOW!! What a wonderful restaurant. Beautiful, cosy, intimate venue. We were greeted with a glass of gorgeous Prosecco and seated in comfy chairs. Mood lighting made the place feel so special. Then..the food!! Oh, my!! Platter after platter of the most delicious starters were brought to the table. My personal highlight was the platter of buratta, mixed Italian salamis/prosciutto and tomatoes. I have eaten many buratta in my time but this was beyond-words-delicious. Same with my tuna steak:.never tasted anything like it to this standard. The ‘table wine’ was far beyond anything you would get in a standard Italian in London. It was so smooth..needless to say, many a refill was requested haha!! The two-man staff were efficient, super-attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I can’t recommend Chelsea Cellar enough. Belissimo!!”

Little Green Dragon
● Closed“Micro pub on the edge of Winchmore Hill. Has half a dozen cask beers on plus the same with keg beers. Cask is served from gravity, presumably the venue doesn't have a cellar but the beers are always kept very well. Richard and the rest of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Regulars are great and will make you feel very welcome. It's easily the best pub in the area.”

-
Old House
● Closed“A friendly, off-the beaten track local pub, serving great ales direct from the cask. Very traditional interior, and the locals are engaged in funny conversations and banter. This was a great pit stop on our long walk. I think this was how all pubs used to be - a genuine meeting place rather than somewhere to extract money out of you - I hope it never changes!”
-
The Bird & Barrel

OREN
● Closed“Simply fantastic. The dishes are all well executed, exploding with such complimentary but sometimes curiously contrasting flavours. The concept is sharing dishes. We pretty much ordered the entire menu for our table of 3. Even the seemingly basic sounding dishes really stimulated the taste buds. Their alcohol based dessert is to die for. The ambience is eclectic and vibrant, bustling full of London revellers and foodies. In essence the menu is a work of art. This place has become a regular spot of mine, you must book though.”

Capricho
● Closed“We had an amazing meal on Saturday. The service was some of the best I’ve ever had. All staff knowledgeable about our order and seem to be enjoying themselves. When the staff are happy it sets a lovely vibe for the restaurant. I loved being able to see the kitchen staff preparing the meals. The food was excellent, great choice (more than I expected as a vegetarian) and everything was so tasty. The drinks were a particular highlight- fabulous wines, cocktail and gin. Will be visiting again!”

Speedboat Bar
● Open30 Rupert Street, London W1D 6DL, United Kingdom“I took two friends visiting London for lunch and we loved it! The food is super authentic, and the waitress who served us was not only nice but also very funny! The prawn ceviche was spectacular although very spicy! The noddles and sweetcorn fritters are a must on your order if you go. Highly recommended!”

Alcedo Bistro & Bar
● Closed“I visited this restaurant last week after finding it on Meerkat dining out. Check in advance what the offers are on this as it seems a little out of date. The owner/manager is a very happy chap who was very attentive. The decor was tasteful and rustic and the atmosphere was relaxed. Fresh lightly grilled bread was served which was a bonus. 3 of us all had a main meal and shared a bottle of wine. With the discount it came to about £50. All the food was fresh and tasty. Overall a very nice place and I am sure we will return in future.”
