“Very accommodating for a party of 5 including a toddler and a baby. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and all tasted fresh. I ordered the Grant Close which came with 2 American style pancakes with fruit, cream and maple syrup on top, on the side there was avocado, halloumi, spinach and American style scrambled egg. I had curly fries on the side which were really nice too. My cappuccino was nice and creamy too but if you are a big coffee fan you might prefer a different place for your caffeine fix in the area. I'd highly recommend coming here, the best cafe in the area.”

“The pictures really don't do it justice. I thought I had had "good Italian food" before but this is a different league. "Pineapple juice" never looked this glorious before, very fresh. That octopus! Wow, great texture, a satisfying bite but not at all rubbery, somehow with an almost charred flavour. Then that mash, with flavours something like garlic? Apple? I don't know and I'm not sure I want to know how the magic is done. Why spoil enjoyable mysteries? The risotto main is stunning, what a showpiece, also delicious. Took my time to enjoy it both visually and to dig out and eat the meats. All the flavours balanced. So light tasting, but so filling. (I am a little bit in love with that fish plate). ...but for desert somehow my stomach found space. Pear and ricotta cheesecake, maybe some subtle spice in there? Again wonderful textures, melting but also with an enjoyable chew. Lemoncello, made by them, gorgeous smell, clean refreshing taste. No sugary syrup. Very pleasantly surprised. I could never cook this good and I wouldn't dare try. My words don't do it justice either. I could go on. Best to just come back here. ASAP. Definitely, the best meal I have ever had. “I had a chimichanga, the kiddo had the nachos (and didn't finish them all! They were loaded!) and a taco, and my buddy had a traditional dish. All very tasty. He and I also had a tamarind drink. Seemed almost like an iced tea. So sweet and delicious.”

“A brilliantly friendly pub, with very welcoming staff. We had the best time on Christmas Eve with a large group of adults and children in their beautiful garden. Food was delicious, staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful, and the atmosphere was amazing. Can't wait to come back for more of the same, thank you all.”

“This is a lovely old pub with a decent sized beer garden, and covered booths too. The real draw is the food though - we had an incredible Sunday roast (recommend the beef) with all the trimmings & finished with a couple of excellent desserts. I particularly liked the Guinness brownie & ice cream - absolutely lush! The service here is excellent too, really friendly & efficient. We had such a lovely time, we'll be coming back again very soon.”

“Been to this pub a few times on a Friday evening while the little one is at Guides. All the staff I've spoken to have been really nice and down to earth. There is normally a good amount of people here but there is plenty of tables and an outdoor smoking area. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits at typical prices for the area. There is often something happening on the weekend evenings, be it a band, quiz etc. The only thing that I'd like to see is the pub pulled into 2023. It is slightly warn and in need of a refurb.”

We were there for a late lunch on a Monday and it was busy. We did not have a reservation but we were seated and served politely and promptly. We will definitely be returning. The food was delicious and hot, so much on the plates as well ! none of us could complete it all and only a few managed a dessert, lots of lovely choices on the menu and all was available. Free parking up to 3hrs or register your reg number as a guest.”
