"Lovely roast dinner in a relaxed and historic pub. Friendly young staff and the owners on hand making sure everyone was getting well looked after. Dog friendly. A great place, probably wise to book for a Sunday lunch."

"Nice old pub. At back has outside seating area with some proper chairs and easy parking which is important to me for family access. Good for walkers as near various walking routes. Food menu quite small and a bit pricy not many light lunch options but we managed, advantages of access and location outweigh lack of choice. We will be back!"

"Great local pub in historic building with parking and country walks. Excellent food that's distinctive and imaginative alongside typical pub fare. Eclectic range of starters, very good for small plates to share. Menu changes regularly, Sunday menu is more about roasts. Run by Stephanie and Allan, Stephanie creates a relaxed and family friendly local pub atmosphere, while husband and Head Chef Allan spent over 11 years as a sous chef at a 2 Michelin star restaurant and brings creativity and flair to their menu. Well worth a look for a relaxed lunch or dinner. The pub has a large beer garden that backs onto local parks. It is on the London Loop long distance footpath, worth dropping in for a pint and a snack."

"I love this pub. I had a drink and a sandwich (beef, horseradish, salad, on lovely crusty sourdough) and the sandwich was PERFECT. This historic and iconic pub is well known and loved in Enfield and has recently been very smartly and lovingly restored. It’s a great place."

"This is a lovely old pub with a decent sized beer garden, and covered booths too. The real draw is the food though - we had an incredible Sunday roast (recommend the beef) with all the trimmings & finished with a couple of excellent desserts. I particularly liked the Guinness brownie & ice cream - absolutely lush! The service here is excellent too, really friendly & efficient. We had such a lovely time, we'll be coming back again very soon."
