The Rose & Crown, London Bridge (PUBLOVE)
“Experience great, trying a burger, sure it will be fine. Very busy with lots of happy people. A great place. I am a bit confused as the boss says it's a backpacker hostel. Ok but £164 a night, guess I am out of touch. No criticism (in any bad way) but did not realize it was that costly for people to get a room for the night. All done, this is an excellent place, great fun and friendly. Take a bow!!!”
London Grace
“Great experience at London Grace in Clapham. The team were so friendly and welcoming. We were a group of 4 and sort of took over the place haha but had a great time. Our nails all look amazing! We were quite specific with our designs and the nail artists were patient and gave great ideas and suggestions. Also, the cocktails are so good - highly recommend the Gin Garden!”
Ye Olde London
“I’ve walked past this pub for many years but had never visited until today. To be honest its name and proximity to St Paul’s Cathedral put me off, as I wrongly assumed that it was a tourist place. Really friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. A much bigger space downstairs although closed on a quiet January afternoon. Loved the huge wooden balustrades that dominate the street level bar area. A Greene King pub but I was happy to find Timothy Taylor Landlord on draught. Even a garden out back - a rarity in The City of London. A hidden gem in plain sight!”
neatly london lounge – micro bar
“What a wonderful, intimate and quirky little lounge bar nestling in the foothills of crystal palace. The cocktails and gins are fabulous and unique with Studer an award winning Swiss brewery, providing the centre piece to many of the mixes -and all presented in a warm and friendly atmosphere and welcome provided by the family owners and headed by Dan and Norma, definitely worth a stroll down Anerley Hill......”
Le Chapeau Cloche
“This place is AMAZING!! Florentin oozes passion and talent. He cared so much about my hair and listened to everything I would like to have achieved. Can't recommend this place enough, everything about it is amazing. There is a lovely bar and secret garden too”
Vinarius
“Houses honestly the best champagne I have ever tasted. Even their Cremant is so beautifully delicate, fresh, and uplifting that it puts expensive branded champagnes to shame. Interestingly, you can sit here and enjoy a simple selection of beautiful artisan cocktails whilst listening to Latin house. Amazing wine consulting. Nice unique selection of craft beers and spirits as well as their whole wine collection to enjoy in house. The white negroni is simply not only the best type of negroni I have ever tasted but also literally the best cocktail I have ever had in my life.. Subtley sweet, peppery, alcoholic and wonderfully fragrant.”
Roy's Restaurant Southgate
“After a recommendation from a friend, we decided to give Roys a try. Was pleasantly greeted by the staff and was seated at a nice table. The restaurant had a nice cosy feel to it. There was plenty to choose from on the menu plus there was a specials board. The food was very well presented and extremely tasty including the mouthwatering desserts. Big portions and full of flavour. Nice selection of wines and cocktails. Highly recommend!”
Marcus Kitchen & Bar
“The pictures really don't do it justice. I thought I had had "good Italian food" before but this is a different league. "Pineapple juice" never looked this glorious before, very fresh. That octopus! Wow, great texture, a satisfying bite but not at all rubbery, somehow with an almost charred flavour. Then that mash, with flavours something like garlic? Apple? I don't know and I'm not sure I want to know how the magic is done. Why spoil enjoyable mysteries? The risotto main is stunning, what a showpiece, also delicious. Took my time to enjoy it both visually and to dig out and eat the meats. All the flavours balanced. So light tasting, but so filling. (I am a little bit in love with that fish plate). ...but for desert somehow my stomach found space. Pear and ricotta cheesecake, maybe some subtle spice in there? Again wonderful textures, melting but also with an enjoyable chew. Lemoncello, made by them, gorgeous smell, clean refreshing taste. No sugary syrup. Very pleasantly surprised. I could never cook this good and I wouldn't dare try. My words don't do it justice either. I could go on. Best to just come back here. ASAP. Definitely, the best meal I have ever had. Thank you so much. See you soon!”
Tongi
“I met Masood, the general manager here, he made sure we had a great stay. Thank you Masood for everything. The food was really nice: I suggest the lamb shank, it's delicious!”
Annie's Freehouse
“Nice Irish place and fast service and clean. Everyone's having a good time and its very good mixed crowd in there, Joiners Arm can learn a lot from this place.”
Growler Stop Tap Room Dartford
“Went to the Growler stop for first time last night. Great, helpful and pleasant staff. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Very extensive beer menu that the staff will help you with. We sampled quite a few across the range, pale ales, ipa’s, bitters and stouts and they were all lovely. We will be returning and next time our wives said they’ll come with us and sample their gins :-)”
Chaps Den
“Great cut, have been back here at least 5 times and will continue to go. Friendly, knowledgeable and all round great service.”
BOTTLE BAR and SHOP
“A lovely bar with a fantastic choice of exquisite cocktails, wines and beers. The smiling and knowledgeable staff add to the pleasure of spending quality drinking time in this wonderful establishment. Now that I have discovered it, I shall be returning as often as possible.”
Church Road
“Been wanting to come here for a year or so, but what with covid and life the stars never quite aligned. But managed to finally pay a visit taking my friend out for his birthday. And we had a fantastic experience! The food was incredibly delicious with excellent presentation. The wine selection was great. Every member of staff were super welcoming and friendly. And the venue looked great, would have stayed longer had it not been for a surprise to get to for our friend. Will definitely be coming back! Hopefully soon!”
The English Grill
“Great atmosphere, high quality service and food. There was a lady singing as well. We had tartare (prepared infront of us) that was fantastic. Also the burrata with avocado on toast with smoked tomatoes, was good too. We pre-booked the beef Wellington. Perfect medium rare, large portion. Adding the starter was really a lot of food. Robert the waiter was really prepared and recommended the perfect wine for our dinner. I think this place doesn't have 1 Michelin star just because the dishes are very traditional but the entire experience is exactly like being in a starred restaurant.”
Helvadere
“Went for a quick meal with some mates and I have to say this was a really nice joint. Modern decor and great contemporary Mediterranean food. Service was swift and customer service was impeccable”
Señor Tapas
“Have wanted to try ST since it opened - love the fact the menu changes regularly . Visited with two friends last Friday night , we had a great time. The food is very fresh and tasty , the service was excellent - especially considering how busy it was. Will definitely be coming back - we’re lucky to have such a lovely spot in petts wood.”
Il Villaggio deli
“Great salads, sandwiches, gelato, sorbet and coffee. Nice delicatessen selection of Italian meats pasta, biscuits and cheeses. Quietly situated off New Malden High Street. A great place to sit relax and have a natter, either inside or out.”
Maison François
“Impeccable service, super friendly service staff who tried to make friends with my baby. Food is delicious with an amazing touch on the dessert. Ambiance is also relaxing. Love the deco, contemporary and classic at the same time! Love my overall dining experience there for the Mother’s Day celebration! Will definitely go back for another time!”
Alcedo Bistro & Bar
“I visited this restaurant last week after finding it on Meerkat dining out. Check in advance what the offers are on this as it seems a little out of date. The owner/manager is a very happy chap who was very attentive. The decor was tasteful and rustic and the atmosphere was relaxed. Fresh lightly grilled bread was served which was a bonus. 3 of us all had a main meal and shared a bottle of wine. With the discount it came to about £50. All the food was fresh and tasty. Overall a very nice place and I am sure we will return in future.”
The Swan
“4 real ales. Nice and cosy, 10 locals in and a great place for a nice chat. Tuesday quiz night.”
Berry and Barrel
“Great little bar. Loads of choice for drinks and a decent selection of snacks too. The team are very welcoming and keep the place impeccably clean. I wish it was closer to my house!”
Rise & Vine
“Great shop, I was a fan of Borough Wines that preceded but I have to say that there has been much improvement since turning independent. Superb selection of Wines, Beers and Spirits*, fantastic customer service and the guys are incredibly knowledgeable. I was also able to peruse the range whilst supping on a glass of wine! *Just one niggle, more Japanese whisky please!”
Fever & Boutique - Epsom
“The place is electric and the bar staff are amazing especially the guy with a man bun mat I think his name was. 10/10 would recommend”
Blacklock Soho
“Best Sunday roast in London! If you like meet this is the place. Even the bloody Mary has a meaty hint, thick and punchy. We had the all in Sunday roast, and totally recommend it for a party of more than 2. The meat was exquisite but the veggies and potatoes were better than any other place in London! Don’t be put off by the gravy, it’s thinness is overcome by its rich flavour.”
Blacklock City
“Loved it despite not being a steak person. Shared 2 lamb chops, a 650g porterhouse big chop, carrots and baby gem. Meat was tender, juicy and cooked just right (medium). Veggies fresh and sweet and delicious. In hindsight the All in special is better value for money despite us benefiting from Butchers Monday prices on the big chip.”
BAR 8
“Bar 8 has been an intrinsic part of the hospitality scene at Hanger Green for many years under the direction of Mary Osman and her team. Joyously the offering has been spectacularly enhanced by the arrival of the Stockpot brothers - Sergio & Fabio. I have just had a wonderful hamburger with fantastic chips. My lazy description does not do it justice - it was brilliant! This is just the beginning and I will work through the menu, but rest assured there's a host of other dishes ready for tasting. Brilliant & a great addition to the culinary scene....and Bar8 remains a vibrant and excellent place for drinks and always with a wonderful welcome!”
The Old Plough
“Had a great time at The Old Plough. The fish and chips was absolutely excellent. Top marks for service and environment as well. Look forward to going back.”
Galiano Bar/Restaurant
