The Eagle at Kelvedon Hatch
● OpenOngar Road, Kelvedon Hatch, Brentwood CM15 0AA, United Kingdom“Lovely pub restaurant. Cosy bar at the front with fires to make it extra cosy. We went to the rear dining room with views of the garden, and it was delightful the watching the birds, the squirrels and the fallow deer visiting the garden. Nice choice of traditional British favourites. I had beef and Guinness pudding which was tasty and also light, perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff.”

Zaffron Indian Kitchen
● Open“We used the restaurant for the first time two days ago for a family takeaway. We ordered around 10 dishes and every single one was delicious. Vegetables tasted freshly cooked and sauces and spices subtle and delightful. Prices also very reasonable. Don't normally bother to post reviews but feel this restaurant deserves a good one, knowing few can afford to waste money on disappointing food in these difficult times.”

Nipa Thai
● Open“Where to eat Thai food outside thailand, it's here baby! Located in a 5 star hotel, the venue is next to the tube station and walking distance to paddintong station. As you enter the hotel to make your way to the restrueant, you feel immediately calm unlike if you are on the street Infront of the resturant and there are people around you that you need to dodge and avoid. The resturant is is smaller than what I had imagined but i guess by having it smaller it feels more intimate, the staff are from Thailand ( I swear they probably know the menu inside out ) friendly and very happy to recommend any food. You can smell food all around you and while you wait for you food, you keep looking everywhere to see what people are eating or have ordered. By the time the food is served, your starving! The food is delicious and the flavour reminds me of asia. Come and try, I am sure you'll never regret it! Food is delicouse, the flavour does remind me of Asia, the smell just makes you hungry”

Prima Sapori d'Italia
● Open“Was recommended this lovely restaurant by a friend and it did not disappoint! The staff were great and the food was even better. In fact, the food was so good my friend and I sat in silence part of the time we were eating because the foot was THAT good. Drink was lovely as well. Really cool that from where I was sat I could see into the Jubilee market. I've been telling everyone abou this place! I don't go to London often, but when I do I most certainly will be back!”

A. Wong
● Open“Great experience. We went for the Taste of China tasting menu which was amazing, and the waiters are very attentive. Only real complaint is that it is ridiculously hard to book a table, and we had to book months in advance. We also had to rearrange several times due to govt restrictions which of course isn't the restaurant's fault but in that time the price of the menu increased by 46 GBP a head which is not small. That being said, once we arrived the experience was amazing from start to finish.”

Anise
● Open“I'd always seen this place walking to work and finally decided to try it last night. The food was excellent; I tried the special prawn and mushrooms with egg fried rice. They are just slightly pricier than your everyday Chinese takeaway but it's obvious they are using much higher quality ingredients. And the taste was fantastic, nothing overdone, cooked brilliantly, and the rice wasn't just a big blob in the shape of the container, they were perfectly cooked good quality rice. Will be ordering again tonight!”

● Closed“I was recommended this place via the Michelin guide and the experience itself was pretty good. I think the overall experience would definitely improve if the weather was better as it was 30°C and there was no air conditioning at all. We were seated upstairs and we thought it would be cooler but we were incubating in the sun the whole meal. We all got a 2 course meal with 2 sides. In the attached pictures you'll see that we picked the starters, soya marinated salmon, chicken parfait, and lobster raviolo. For the mains we picked, chicken breast, salmon fillet, and the beef wellington. The starters all had a pretty strong salty taste to them that we might not be that used to but the mains were absolutely delicious. We had a bad experience with the lobster raviolo as we found multiple shell pieces. The chicken breast was tender and nicely cooked, the salmon was juicy and the puree complimented it well, the beef wellington honestly had such good flavor just by itself without the puree but with it added it was phenomenal. Another thing we noticed is that the menu shown online is actually different from the menu that we saw in the restaurant so the online version will probably need an update so people can look ahead into what they can order.”

Whitcomb’s
● Open“This restaurant is within a hotel and the ambience within this restaurant is amazing! Very cosy and felt relaxing and comfortable. Ordered escargot for starter and it is one of the best French food that I can get in central London. The mains were divine! Lobster Thermidor was cooked into perfection and cheese just melt into your mouth. Loving the rib eye steak, medium rare juicy and tasty!! Definitely would recommend people to come here. Although the price of the food is on the higher end, however worth visiting.”

The Collab: Signature Brew & We Serve Humans
● Open“Second time coming here and I will definitely come again and recommend it. The beer (and beer selection) is excellent, the food is excellent and the service excellent too. Our baby kicked my wife’s entire dinner on the floor and the staff kindly replaced it for free, which they clearly were not obliged to do and nor did we even ask as they noticed and came over to us. Look forward to coming back.”
-
Great Fosters - part of The Alexander Hotel Collection
● Open“This is an exceptionally beautiful hotel. We only came here for a meal but it was very lovely and relaxing sitting overlooking the fountain. Staff were very friendly and professional. The grounds are stunning and sprawling. Modern sculptures against the traditional topiary and gardens contrast so well. Dog friendly. Lots of parking spaces. A hidden gem.”
